He was subsequently appointed to the position of General Manager (Corporate Affairs) of Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd in February 2002. On 1 May 2002, he was appointed as an Executive Director of Berjaya Group Berhad and subsequently on 15 September 2005 he was appointed as an Executive Director of Berjaya Corporation Berhad in conjunction with the restructuring exercise of Berjaya Group Berhad. He also holds directorships in several other private limited companies. During his vocational training as a research intern with Jardine Fleming and Merill Lynch & Co./Smith Zain Securities, he was involved in the field of research covering the various sectors of property, commodity, telecommunications and transport.
