Mr Leslie Eu is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistic and Transport and was one of the founding directors of Global Maritime Ventures Berhad. He has been in the shipping business for more than 40 years. He was the first Chief Executive Officer of Malaysian International Shipping Corporation Berhad from the company's inception in 1969 until his early retirement on 1985. Mr Leslie Eu was a Board Member of Lembaga Pelabuhan Kelang from 1970 to 1999. In 1995, he was presented the Straits Shipper Transport Personality award by the Minister of Transport. He was appointed by the United Nations Conference of Trade and Development as one of the 13 experts to assist the developing nations in establishing their maritime fleets.
