He was appointed to the Board on 28 October 2003. He was appointed as a Director of Versatile Paper Boxes Sdn Bhd in 1997. He was appointed as Managing Director of Fairpoint Plastic Industries Sdn Bhd (Fairpoint) in 1986. He has many years of experience in the plastic packaging industry. He started his career in 1972 as Technician with Metal Box Bhd where he served for three (3) years and accumulated experience in manufacturing and distribution of tin cans and aluminium beverage cans. Thereafter, he left to join Kian Joo Can Factory Bhd in 1975 as Sales Manager and was involved in marketing and distribution of several product lines. In 1985, he established Fairpoint and was elected Managing Director, a position which he holds until now. As Managing Director of Fairpoint, he has successfully spearheaded the company to become a niche player in the plastic packaging industry for food, confectionery and related sectors, specialising in precision plastic injection moulding and thermoform processes.
