Tan Sri was the Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sports from 1972 to 1977. He was the Executive Chairman of Malaysian Rubber Exchange & Licensing from 1978 to 1993 and the Chairman of the International Rubber Association from 1980 to 1993. He was also the Chairman on Natural Rubber Buffer Stock Committee of INRO from 1984 to 1986. He also served in the Council on Malaysia Invisible Trade (COMIT) from 1980 to 1987. Member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. Current directorships include Gula Perak Berhad, Hwang – DBS (Malaysia) Berhad, Hwang-DBS Capital Berhad, Nanyang Press Holdings Berhad, Paramount Corporation Berhad, Cygal Berhad and several private companies.
