He is presently the Chairman of Alliance Unit Trust Management Berhad, Alliance Capital Asset Management Sdn Bhd, IGB Corporation Berhad, British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Berhad and MUI Continental Insurance Bhd. In 2002, he was also appointed as Chairman of Suruhanjaya Hak Asasi Manusia.
