Datuk Dr. Anis graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the Univerity of Singapore, a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of London and a Ph.D in Pharmacology from the University of Bath, United Kingdom in 1968.
Working Experience
He started his career as a Pharmaceutical Officer/Pharmacist with MOH for 6 years. He continued his career as a Lecturer and Head of the Department of Pharmacology in University Kebangsaan Malaysia from 1975 to 1979. He served as the Deputy Director of NPCB from 1983 to 1987, and was promoted to Director of NPCB in 1988 and served in that capacity until 1990. He was the Secretary of DCA from 1985 to 1990. In 1991, he held the position of Deputy Director of Health (Pharmacy) for the Department of Health, Johor before he was promoted to Director of Pharmacy of MOH in 1996 where he was attached for 5 years until 2001
