Datuk Haji Hassan Ibrahim is the Managing Director of SURIA. He was appointed as a Director on June 6, 1996. He began his career with the Sabah State Government in 1972 and over the 24 years of service has held various key positions of which 14 years were spent with the State Ministry of Finance. His last position in the civil service was as the Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Finance, a post he held for more than two years from 1994 to 1996, prior to his present appointment at SURIA. He also sits on the Board of Saham Sabah Bhd.
