Ms Wong graduated from University Kebangsaan Malaysia with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) and is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and CPA Australia.

From April 1992 to August 1994, she was attached with Arthur Andersen & Co, a public accounting firm where her last position was Audit Senior. In August 1994, she joined Pacific Chemicals Berhad, a company involved in timber logging and investment holding, as the Accountant. Subsequently, in October 1997, she resigned from Pacific Chemicals Berhad to join Keladi Maju Berhad, a company involved in property development as the Group Accountant, a position she held until 28 February 2002. Presently, Ms Wong is the Financial Controller of a private limited company.
