He started his career as RISDA Field Officer in 1965 and retired as the Director General of RISDA in 1997. He held various positions during his employment with RISDA, ie. State Director, Director of the Extension Division, Director of the Procurement Division, Director of Training and Deputy Director General. He is currently the Executive Chairman of L & M Corporation (M) Bhd. He is also a Council Member of the Malaysian Estate Owner's Association (MEOA) and Malaysian Rubber Produces and a Board Member of the Malaysian Rubber Board.
