Mr Lee has more than 30 years experience in the Banking Industry in Malaysia. He was involved in internal audit, information technology, branch supervision, retail banking, treasury and integration issues. Upon qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1980, Mr Lee worked in a public accounting firm for 2 years. In 1982, he joined Malayan Banking Berhad as an internal auditor. His other duties in Malayan Banking include Head of IT Audit Dept., Head of Branch Supervision covering branches in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and East Coast States, set up retail banking operation and head the Product Development and Market Research Department, head the Treasury, and Head of Finance until his retirement. Mr Lee is currently an independent non executive director of HSBC Amanah Malaysia Berhad. He is the chairman of its Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating and Risk Management Committee
