Dato' Sri Wira Ayub obtained his Diploma in Public Admin from the Institut Teknologi MARA and Diploma in Police Science from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He obtained the Certificate in Sustainable Leadership at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Working Experience
Dato' Sri Wira Ayub joined the Royal Malaysia Police in 1977. In 1978, he was stationed in Pulau Pinang as an Officer responsible for the Crime Investigation Department. He was appointed as a Coach of the Police Training Center in Negeri Sembilan and subsequently was appointed as a Development Officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs and also Logistic/Finance Department, Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur. He was then promoted to the Superintendent of Police. From 2000 to 2005, Dato' Sri Wira Ayub was promoted to the Assistant Commissioner of Police and served as Aide de Camp (ADC) to His Majesty The Yang Di Pertuan Agong. He was then attended and had successfully completed a program in the acpect of Community Policing at University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He was then served as the Chief of Police in the state of Melaka and Terengganu. In 2008, he was promoted to the Chief of the Police Department in Pulau Pinang. In 2012, Dato' Sri Wira Ayub was appointed as the Chairman in NKRA Secretariat of Criminal Investigation Department in Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur and subsequently was promoted as the Commisioner of Police. In the following year, he was being appointed as the First Director of the Crime Prevention and Suppression Department. Dato' Sri Wira Ayub retired with the position of Commissioner in 2014 and now appointed as a member of the Editorial Board of Trustees, Yayasan Pengaman of Malaysia and Police Corporative of the Royal Malaysia Police.
