Dato Nellsen is the Founder and President of ASEAN Peoples Association (ASEAN PAC)
Los Angeles. In September 2016, The ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia granted its approval to ASEAN PAC. The organization aims to promote ASEAN diverse cultures, traditions, arts and its people-to peoples interaction. Dato Nellsen strives to bring the finest identity of ASEAN across the United States and has been devoting his time to initiate the first culturally based ASEAN center in the Los Angeles.
Dato Nellsen has an extensive marketing and community outreach background. He worked for the largest Chinese media network in California and was part of the organizing committee team for the 10th Chinese American Film Festival in 2014. In May 2015, he spearheaded a live concert in Los Angeles for Malaysias Queen of Jazz, Dato Sheila Majid and the first ASEAN Festival in June 2016 that celebrated the vast and unique culture of each ASEAN member state. Endorsed and supported by the ASEAN Secretariat and all Consulate Generals of the 10 ASEAN member states, it was the first of its kind to be ever held in the United States.
Dato Nellsen also serves as the Director in several companies in Malaysia, Indonesia and the United States. He was recently appointed as Malaysian Ambassador of Tourism, Arts and Culture primary focusing on America.
