Working Experience
Dato' Abdul Majit was a former Malaysian Diplomat who joined the Malaysian Diplomatic and Administrative service in 1970. In his thirty-four (34) years of service, he has served in the Prime Minister's Department as well as in several Malaysian Missions abroad and in senior position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He served as a diplomat in United States, Laos, Vietnam, China (concurrently accredited to the DPRK) and the High Commissioner to Nigeria. He served twice in China and was the Ambassador to the People's Republic of China in 1999, a post he held for 7 years until his retirement in January 2005.
He is currently the President of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association (PPMC) and Exco Member of the Malaysia-China Business Council.
In April 2019,
Dato' Abdul Majit was appointed as the Chairman of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).
