Mr Colin Garfield MacDonald was appointed to the board of Unisem (M) Berhad ("Unisem") on 18 July 1991 and was one of the founder members of Unisem. Before his retirement in end September 2000, Mr Colin MacDonald was the President/Chief Executive Officer of Unisem. Mr Colin MacDonald began his career in 1958 as an Accountant with a Canadian Bank and has held several positions within the Bank from 1958 to 1965. From 1965 to 1974, he held several accounting positions in various manufacturing companies. In 1974, he joined North American Philips as Financial Controller for the audio video division. In 1976, he was appointed as Financial Controller in Signetics Corporation, a subsidiary of North American Philips. From 1986 to 1991, Mr Colin MacDonald was appointed managing director of Carsem (M) Sdn Bhd and served on the board of Malaysia Pacific Industries Berhad.
