Following the acquisition of MUI Bank Berhad by the Hong Leong Group in 1994, he was appointed as Advisor and continued to be on the Board of Hong Leong Bank Berhad until December 1995. He was a Director of Rashid Hussain Berhad, UBG Berhad, UBG Enterprise Berhad, CMS Trust Management Berhad and Malayan United Industries Berhad.
