Mr Tan Kean Hua ("Mr Tan") had held the position of Executive Director of IOI Oleochemical Industries Berhad since 1 April 2011. He will be promoted to the position of Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective 1 July 2024. In his new position, Mr Tan will oversee all resource-based manufacturing activities within IOI Group, including oleochemicals, refineries, palm wood, Bunge Loders and joint venture for paper pulp.
Mr Tan was the Chairman of Malaysian Oleochemical Manufacturers Group (MOMG) from March 2010 to March 2017, during which he also held the chair of ASEAN Oleochemical Manufacturers Group twice. He was a Board Member of the Board of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) for 3 terms, i.e. from May 2010 to May 2017. Prior to joining IOI Group in 2004, Mr Tan held a senior marketing position in an oleochemicals multinational company.
