Mr. Muhamed Ali Bin Hajah Mydin ("Muhamed") had since clocked 26 years of a broad working experience in various disciplines, which covers Fundamental Electronic engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunication, ICT and Corporate strategy.
Started his career as an assistant Engineer in Floppy Disk Company, Muhamed had progressed to take up a more challenging role as a Product Engineer in Quantum Peripherals. He had been entrusted to lead and deliver key product transfer projects from various Quantum R&D facilities and manufacturing facilities covering San Jose California to Japan.
Muhamed had further taken up more challenging role in BCM Electronics (Head of Business Development) & Agilent Technologies as a Program Manager in contract manufacturing where he manages business in South Asia countries which includes Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Philippine and Singapore.
Muhamed biggest breakthrough into Senior Executive Management role came in when he was tasked lead Mutiara.com Sdn Bhd (30% Telekom Malaysia and 70% Ministry of Finance Malaysia) as a CEO which expose him to telecommunication and system integration industries.
Muhamed has been appointed as an ICT advisor to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan form 2007 to 2010 whereby he had led the study of ICT penetration in SME/SMI in Kazakhstan. Muhamed also sits in a board of advisory of ICT policies in Ministry of Education in Kazakhstan.
In October 2008, Muhamed had been tasked to transform Mimos Smart Computing Sdn Bhd (A Ministry of Finance Malaysia own company) as a Managing Director which involves in design & assembly of PCs and Laptops.
He is currently the CEO of PSDC (Penang Skills Development Centre) which involves in addressing Skills Mismatch in Graduates and Workforce Transformation not only in Penang but also covers nationwide.
