Flintstones, may I make what I hope is an educated guess on the potential lower div? It's because of capex needed for its aggressive expansion?

Hi. Anyone has views on DKSH? Have seen its price rise from RM2+ slightly over a year ago to present level. Maybe a good and cheaper proxy to the consumer products sector?

So now I concentrate on the value of the company and compared with its stock price. Plenitude has huge amount of cash. It also has a lot of quality assets which many of them have not been revalued for decades. Even ignoring the undervaluation of its assets, its Graham net net valuation shows that it is hugely under-priced at present price. Read my valuation as shown in the link below:
->KC, would you consider Tambun a better investment than Plenitude, at least in the next 1-2 years? Plenitude no doubt is solid but I think the management is too conservative and stingy with div; whereas Tambun seems to be doing really well and its management rewards shareholders well (with earnings, not borrowing) since its listing.
I am really tempted to switch my fund from Plenitude to Tambun. Would appreciate your views. Thanks you in advance!

KC, thanks so much for your views.
VT's involvement is one of the factors stopping me from going in.

KCChongNZ, would mind help to value BJFood? It looks interesting but PE is rather high right now. Thanks in advance!

"Although its compounded annual earnings growth for the last 4 years is ok at 17% a year, its revenue growth is not impressive at all at only 1.3% a year. High earnings growth without the corresponding growth in revenue is also not sustainable."
KC, perhaps the small revenue growth compared to the big earnings growth is due to Gtronic moving to higher profit margin products?

Anyone has any views on EFORCE? With Bursa 'heating up' now, the prospect for EFORCE looks good. And it gives good div too!

Another good report from CIMB. TP rm2.7x. Any views whether it's 'safe' to go in now at 1.7x?
Or wait for market to pull back a bit?

KC, what about looking 'deeper', such as the management and shareholders. I eyed this Magni since last year but never went it due to such 'deeper' concerns.

KC, Gark & Ooi, thanks a lot for your respective views.

KC, do you think MBL would likely be able to sustain its good (or very good) performance of the past few years? I somehow think that the past few years' performance were boosted very much by the high production and price of palm oil; and as we are seeing since sometime last year, this industry is going through a bad spell and will continue to be cyclical.

Any idea what's happening? Maybe gonna propose final Div soon? Very tempted to sell and then buy back cause sentiment (and prospect) for plantation is still not so good.

Chokra, sorry to hear that. I agree with your observation.
Why didn't you sell it when it was treading up? I bought some in late 2011 at 80++c and sold off at 90++ early 2012 when it started moving (after dropping for quite long).

I only have one property stock. Not very keen in this sector too. but I don't understand what you mean below.

Many property sectors haven't been updated their EPS,NTA,Financial Reports,Cash flow etc.You invest in property sectors should be careful. You must make a thorough research and study before you invest.I get rid of this sector as we have still a lot of sectors to invest.
>> Yeah I agree. That's another reason holding me back from buying Tambun thus far. I've been holding Plenitude (based on fundamentals) and Mulpha (which was more of a punt) with paper loss for more than a year now.

Anyone has views on Tambun? Been eyeing it since 70c but not daring enough to go in due to its short track record in Bursa. But it has kept its promise in paying dividends and seems to be doing really well. The share price is doing well too.

KC, I've been holding Plenitude for more than 1 year but sad to say it has disappointed me during this period. I am suffering paper loss now as I bought it at 2.13.
While I do agree that it is undervalued and financially solid, it is perhaps too conservative. There has not been much activities for the past 1-2 years leading to falling profits and dividends too. In other words, there is no growth and with falling dividends and share price.
Having said that, I will still hold it at least for a few more quarters to see whether the management will be more "aggressive" after GE13.

So has anyone bought anything today? Sometimes it's really strange that people or funds decide to "suddenly" react to the election news. As for myself, I nibbled a bit of DLADY today.

Do u guys think it may be a good time to average down on TDM now, or perhaps it's wiser to wait a while more to see data on CPO stocks and price. I do feel bullish over the medium-long run. So if possible I'd like to take advantage of any temporary dips.
Another thing, can u share with me your thoughts on averaging up on a stock which u think has good potential? Although this is the common advise of long term investors, I cant help but feel a bit 'uneasy' as the average buying price keeps going up and nearer to the present market price.
Tx!

Siew Jian Bin, tx. I think the price is still quite volatile due to the uncertainties of the CPO sentiments. One day up, one day down. Just hope in the medium to long term it will be up again. It's still quite way below my entry price.

Siew Jian Bin, thanks for your view. I am a medium to long term player. Tx for recommending Cold Eye website which I have come across a number of times. But unfortunately, I am a "banana".

Hi everyone. I am new to this Forum, and very new to stock investment.
really appreciate everyone's honest views and sharing here, esp people like kcchongnz.
KC, can I ask u what is your fair value for TDM? I bought a bit a few months ago during dips but now it's gone much lower. I have been wondering whether it's worth averaging down.

Just reported a lousy quarterly result. Maybe it's really time to dump this stupid stock. Been holding for more than 1 1/2 years with heavy paper loss!

KC Loh, thanks for your views.
While i dont need the money right now (it's just a small amount that I invested in this counter), I feel quite upset that it's costing me not only paper capital loss but also opportunity costs in that the money could be put to better use by buying other "performing" counters.
Well at least the young Chairman finally said something about the depressing share price performance and the company's lack of activities in the past few years (apart from selling off a few of its holdings).
I still think they should really reward existing shareholders with dividend shares. Other good companies find ways to reward shareholders when they are not expanding or performing, e.g. TM and Maxis with their generous dividends. And now TM is on the growth path again.

Petracot, I have been holding it for almost 1 1/2 years and with huge paper loss since I got it at very high price of 64c!
Im very tempted to cut it because apart from the non-performance of the share price, the co. is not performing at all - erratic earnings, not expansion despite holding a fairly large sum of cash, not rewarding suffering shareholders (like me) despite having bought back so tonnes of shares (it should reward shareholders by giving back the shares as dividends).
Any views or suggestion?

I think the fear of sellers is that there might be delay in implementation of signed contracts, leading to drop in anticipated earnings. Anyone here familiar with such services contracts on whether the vendor has the option of delaying or even cancelling part or parts of the contracted jobs?
Plus, oil companies may delay other projects, leading to lost of potential contract wins.
