0008,I suspect you are a foreigner coming here to mislead the Malaysians about the real economy of Malaysia.I make survey of the unemployment rate by visiting the poorest areas in K.L.I visit the low cost areas and make a comparison with S'pore as I stay there 16 years on and off.
The poorest Malaysian stays in an flat of about 650 sq ft and pays about RM124 rental or RM34k if they buy from the government.They own cars,tv,fridge,furnitures in their homes and many have tiled floorings and their children are schooling as we have free school fees.They have 3 children on average and are properly dressed.
The setback is their flat is not so clean enough when compared to the lower middle class of S'poreans who stay in 750 sq ft flat but our average lower middle class Malaysian stays in a 1000sf ft condo with facilities and owning cars,complaining one car park is not enough.
Also most of us do not work two jobs for survival showing the lower cost of living.
When we are sick we can easily have free medical treatment at 1malaysia clinic by paying only one RM but in other countries they do not have free medication like Malaysians.We have cheap roadside stalls to buy our food during our nights and at pasar malam to buy our greeneries if we prefer our own cooking.
So living in our country is not so stressful when compares to our neighbours as we can easily start a food business if we are out of jobs or do some planting in more rural areas.
We are a fortunate lots in term of survival and must not complain too much even though there can be improvement.

Currently our country is spending a lot of money on development building LRT,MRT,buildings,highways which will enhance the value of land that are near it.The money spent is not for settling debts but development which have added values to our land.
We can develop businesses that reduce our imports especially on aquamarine and agriculture for local consumption and exports. Generally our citizens are pretty welloff when compare to our
neighbours,we have high purchasing power as a lot of us have wealthy parents to support themselves and less burden to pay off our properties as we can use epf to settle it.
Our economy is much more resilient than many nations so much so they are simply jealous.
Our setback is racial and religious policies which may disrupt our peace if they are not carefully handled.
