KUALA LUMPUR: In view of the current trying time, the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) chairman Datuk Syed Zaid Albar announced that Bursa Malaysia will temporarily suspend Practice Note 17 (PN17) or Guidance Note 3 (GN3) classification on companies which financial positions slip into the status.

“We have already allowed PN17 and GN3 companies up to 24 months to regularise their financials.

“So, moving forward, in addition to this, after a discussion with Bursa, Bursa will provide companies listed on the Main Market, temporary relief from the PN17 classification in relation to certain criteria,” said Syed Zaid. The temporary relief also applied to GN3 for ACE Market-listed companies.

Currently, there are 25 Main Market-listed PN17 companies and three GN3 companies on ACE Market which need to regularise their financial positions.

KUALA LUMPUR: Seacera Group Bhd, via subsidiary Seacera Polymer Sdn Bhd, has bagged the exclusive right from XiDeLang Holdings Ltd to resell and distribute protective clothing products in Malaysia.

Under the distribution agreement, XiDeLang said Seacera would have an irrevocable, non-transferable, exclusive right and licence to distribute its protective clothing products.

However, no franchise is granted and Seacera has the full right to decide on the methods of marketing, pricing, naming, packaging, labelling and advertising, and the terms and conditions of any sale.

XiDeLang managing director and chief executive officer Ding PengPeng said its protective clothing products were classified as personal protective equipment (PPE) in the protective equipment industry.

He said the global protective clothing market size was projected to reach US$11.9 billion by 2024 from US$8.8 billion in 2019, at a compound annual growth rate of 6.3 per cent.

"The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned that severe and mounting disruption to the global supply of PPE caused by rising demand, panic buying, hoarding and misuse – is putting lives at risk from the new coronavirus and other infectious diseases," he said in a joint-statement to Bursa Malaysia today.

He said XiDeLang was responding to WHO's calls on industries and governments to increase manufacturing by 40 per cent to meet rising global demand.

"Today, we have finally formalised our dealing with this agreement and granted Seacera the exclusive right to sell and distribute our protective clothing products for resale purposes in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic," he added.

Ding said XiDeLang would work hard to reduce the world shortage of these PPEs with its new production lines.

Seacera Group chief executive officer Zulkarnin Ariffin said prices of all PPE had surged since the start of the Covid-19 outbreak.

He added that supplies for some PPE products can take months to deliver and market manipulation is widespread, with stocks frequently sold to the highest bidder.

"We're grateful that XiDeLang supplies us with these high-in-demand protective clothing products at a reasonable price during these critical months since the outbreak of Covid19 pandemic," he said.

Zulkarnin said Seacera could help to fulfil the shortage of the products among the front-liners of Malaysian hospitals and laboratories.

"Healthcare workers rely on personal protective equipment to protect themselves and their patients from being infected and infecting others.

"Any shortage of these PPE would leave doctors, nurses and other frontline workers dangerously ill-equipped to care for Covid-19 patients, due to limited access to such supplies. Without secured supply chains, the risk to healthcare workers around the world is real.

"We cannot stop Covid-19 without protecting healthcare first. Our next plan is to capitalise on the Trade War between US and China.

"If the market conditions continue to be favourable, we may start our own production lines in Malaysia to export these PPE to United States and other countries which are badly hit by Covid-19," added Zulkarnin.

Hand sanitizer and cleaning products are in extremely high demand around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and that means the need for key components such as isopropyl alcohol is also reaching new heights. Hand sanitizers use either ethanol or isopropyl alcohol as the primary ingredient, and both are becoming increasingly hard to obtain. Chemical companies are reconfiguring plants and opening new ones in order to increase supply, but they’re still having a hard time keeping up with demand. Adding to the challenge are factors such as regulations, production capacity, tariffs, and government restrictions. Both governments and manufacturers will need to find ways to make this essential ingredient more readily available.

today a lot of counters such as LKL, CAREPLS, HLT sold down from top. Despite that NYLEX still able to sustain above 80c and closed at 82c considered quite good already. This NYLEX share issued only 194 mil and very light, which is lesser than HEXZA also.

It is quite reasonable to give a fair value of RM 1, given the reasons:

Increase demand of ethanol, which used for pharmaceutical and sanitizers, especially during the outbreak of COVID-19

Technical Visit to Dura Factory by JKR MALAYSIA , KKR, JPM, and MOF
Published on Tuesday, 14 November 2017 16:01 | Written by DTSB | Print | Email | Hits: 339

07Public Works Department (JKR) Malaysia , Ministry of Public Works (KKR), Prime Minister’s Department (JPM), and Ministry of Finance (MOF) were attend the technical visit program to the factory in Chemor, Perak Darul Ridzuan .

On 13th November 2017, it is indeed a gratifying moment as Ir. Abd. Rahman bin Salleh from JKR and also Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Razali bin Mohamad from MOF visited Dura Technology’s factory. Subsequently, they were given a short presentation on Dura products by Prof. Ir. Dr Voo Yen Lei for sharing the knowledge about UHPFRC to participants at the Wilson Hall. During the presentation, a demonstration on the flexibility of UHPFRC was shown through a simple experiment with 10 average men standing on a 50mm thick, 5.5m long plank without even cracking or breaking it, and with much more enthusiasm, the plank went back to its original point even after it has been deflected with a midspan deflection.

Following that, the demonstration of the sand type used in production has been showed by Prof. Ir. Dr. Voo. The eager participants were then brought out to tour the manufacturing plant and was shown some other materials used during mixing of UHPFRC to give the participants an opportunity to experience the material itself. Engineers were in awe as they saw the flowability and the described characteristics in the presentation all come to real in the casting process.

After this came the other demonstration; the casting of DURA IB650-18m. The honourable guest and participants were impressed by the possibilities and capability of this material. Deputy Director of State Budget from MOF believe that this material is able to bring Malaysia to a higher level in constructions in the world and is able to put Malaysia as a leading country in using this material. It is truly an eye opening sessions for the guests and participants. Though it was drizzling at almost the end of sessions but it was all worth it.

4. company is focusing on Dura (profit making business)

5. Visit of MOF and JPM at Dura's factory make me curious, are they having "something", who knows?

Quote from current QR:

"The Group’s precast concrete division which own “DURA” trademark based on Ultra-High Performance 'ductile Concrete (”UHPdC”) technology is getting more recognition and enquiries from local and oversea customers. The Group plans to expand its manufacturing capacity by setting up a new production line with estimation costs of RM8 million in order to fulfil the expected increase in demand of UHPdC in 2018. At the meantimes, the Group plans to expand the precast concrete geographically by venturing into oversea market like Singapore, Vietnam, Australia and Canada."
