As commented earlier, the NTA is 0.24....and with 10% premium you will get 0.265. I don't think anyone in their right frame of mind would offer more than a 10% premium with the current issues and problems with MAS.

The other alternative is to slice and dice MAS after privatization. All those subsidiaries which are doing well will get listed again while the MAS airline and MAS Kargo remains privatized.

For minority shareholders like us, you got to accept the privatization of 0.265. Khazanah with its almost 70% shareholding in MAS may probably be the one to privatize MAS. Then restructure it and list those profitable subsidiaries in order to recoup back their investment. Next, find someone to buy MAS and MAS Kargo or get the Government to continue to subsidize these businesses.

40 cents to me now is impossible unless the Government would want to bail out MAS with the Gov fund and allow Khazanah to exit MAS. Khazanah subscribed to the right back then with 0.23 cent. If 0.4 bailout, Khazanah already made 0.17 cent profit.

If not mistaken, the buying has to stop soon as it is reaching the max of 10%. Now it stands at 7.28%.

Think the latest NTA is 0.24. Should offer anything above this for privatization. So with 10% premium, it should be 0.265. But who knows they might negotiate for a higher premium.

There is no catalyst for this counter. And I have missed the opportunity to sell when the price peak on 26 March as I was outstation and did not monitor the market. Hence, instead of profiting from it, now I got to cut loss and move on.

Capital movement in investment is crucial and it s not easy to accept losses but somehow we got to do it. All the best to those who remains.

1 lot = 1000 unit shares. You will be entitled to 1000/50 x 3 = 60 units shares. However in Bursa, the min unit shares that you can trade is 100 units block. Hence, your 60 units shares wouldn't allow you to sell it. If you have 1700 units, then it would be be 102 units dividends. This would allow you to sell the 100 units dividend and left with 2 units which you can't do anything with it.

ycchuah, you will sure get the dividends as the min units anyone can own is 100 units. That would give you 6 units but that wouldn't let you sell it. So it's worthless after all. You own it but you can't sell it .It's odd volume.

Step 1: Money Supply
Step 2: Low/Negative Interest Rate
Step 3: Inflation
Step 4: Positive Interest Rate
Step 5: Back to Money Supply or Credit Crunch

So the cycle starts all over again. In Malaysia sense, we should be in Step 3 now. And looking at BNM latest mulling on interest rate hike, we should be moving to Step 4 real soon. By then, the debts and risk exposure would affect whether we are going back to Money Supply or Credit Crunch.

Fundamentally, this counter has exhausted all its avenues. And with the recent MH370 challenge, it makes things worst. MAS is now more than just a business entity but a political, economical and national entities. There are just too many roles to play and juggle. And should AJ resign in months to come, there would be another knee jerk reaction to the price.

The only factor that could lift the counter would be some speculative news on M&A or bailout or taking over just like what happen to Proton. But for how long and how much? No one really knows. Personally, think can leave this counter for sometime until they sorted out the MH370. I will lock whatever remaining shares I have in this counters and buried them for sometime until the right time to dig them out back and start trading.

It shouldn't dilute the price as the shares dividend is from treasury shares and not from issuing new shares. And it is not parked under specific price but purely on the number of shares held by ex date.
