Right. It's difficult to be sure whether rebound or falling knife. If we go by valuation it's about 21 sen, so if it goes below 10 sen can consider buy. But have to take a longer term view and tahan that falling knife. Careful...

You're right on all counts. But there's a catch. If the creditors get worried they might just take over. Then both sides will lose this wonderful asset. KNM will likely kantoi go down. Then everybody lose.

We all want to make money. The most popular strategy is buy low sell high, buy on tips and sell on rumours.
But this favourite strategy has some flaws. I'm sure if you are a seasoned investor you would know. Sometimes tips are fake. The most famous one which happened long ago was UEM where the directors gave fake tips to pump up the market. They quickly dumped their shares and lots of investors got hurt. This thing is still happening today to many counters.
A better strategy would be to pick companies with good future potential and prospects. This way, even if they do pump-and-dump, we can still hold on for later profits.
It's logical to think that if a foreigner takes over the company will be in a better shape. Immediately the share price will jump based on this news. So it makes sense to buy. But some investors will second-guess. Is it really true that foreigners can perform better than our Tunku? (It's our "foreign things are better" mentality.)
But looking at Tunku's track record people may not be convinced a foreigner can perform better, or will be more honest. So, our buy-low-sell-high strategy may backfire instead.
It makes more sense to stick to our Tunku and his team and hold on for longer term profits. If the share price jumps once the situation seems stable and investors feel more confident we can still take a lot of profit from there. Don't you think this is a win-win strategy?

I agree PMX is in a dangerous situation and may be toppled anytime, even though I don't consider myself an expert in politics. He doesn't seem like a capable guy, he's good at talking only.
Tunku's situation is much more stable. Sources close to the company say he has at least three times more shares compared to his opponent the German guy. Unlike PMX, there is no danger of anyone toppling him, whether EGM or AGM.

The 20/9 deadline is crucial because the RO. A lot of investors are worried. But the management is very confident. So far they have been very transparent with the creditors, especially ADB and TA/Danos. Their plans on how to repay their loans and extending the RO have been very transparent and have earned the trust of their creditors. It's just a few days away. Let's see how the management perform. And earn the trust of investors like us to continue holding on to our position. Hopefully we will be rewarded with windfall earnings.

I was lucky I met the CEO Mr Ravi. He is a capable guy and helped to get a clear picture of the situation. Tunku was there too and I shook hands with him. He didn't have time to talk but he looked like a very nice man. No airs. He looked like a friendly and approachable guy. Generally, the atmosphere in the office has good vibes and all the staff personnel looked professional and busy.

I oso not good at betting buy low sell high, reading charts McD, Bollinger, etc. I bet the business can make profit or not, future prospects...
To do that we have to invest some time to learn more. I sacrifice time and petrol goto KNM HQ to ask questions. Hopefully can meet up with their directors to learn first hand about the situation.
The staff there are very helpful. It's like they have a department specially to communicate with shareholders big or small. We can ask them any question. I get the feeling that they are truthful and not trying to hide anything, even though they don't do press release and announcements so often.
I got a good idea that their current situation is serious due to cash flow problems. The earlier management was too ambitious and took on too many projects. Those are actually good projects when they started but later there was great competition and incurred losses. If they sell now they will recover some of the investment. They bound to make some losses but they made profits earlier. Once their cash flow improve their future prospects look very bright. So, I'm holding on to this counter. It's not a very big investment and I didn't do "all-in." Fingers crossed I will make some money within a few years, hopefully also within few months.

KNM has good assets that can be realized. That's why many investors still interested despite it's PN17 status. The Thailand ethanol business is good and can be sold at an attractive price. With the cash generated from the sale the liquidity position of the company will be improved.

The project was previously producing very high quality ethanol from caasava feedstock for Chevron Thailand but shut down due to the shortage of feed stock.

Can say it's the best company. Well managed. Excellent track record for very long time.

FBM will be sold and Borsig will go to SGX. Management working hard in the background to settle the creditors. Once settled and confirmed then will announce. We just need to be patient and hang on. This counter is good opportunity for long term.

The most important thing right now is not stabilizing the sp or fighting for takeover. It's the creditors. On paper our house belongs to us, but in actual fact we agree that it belongs to the bank. If we default our instalments the banks will take over our asset. Same thing for KNM, the creditors will take over everything - KNM, Borsig, etc. The guys trying to takeover maybe don't realize that. If they feel the boat is rocking the creditors will move to takeover first.
That's why the current management is excellent in keeping the creditors at bay for so long.

The current interest in KNM and Borsig shows that management is capable and professional. Otherwise like they say, who wants to buy a PN17 company, right?
