Audit Remarks :
The purpose for the change of financial year end is resultant from the recent resignation of CHENGCO PLT as auditors of the Company due to Audit Oversight Board prohibits them from auditing financial statements of public interest entity for 12 months with effect from 6 August 2019 and the proposed new auditors had indicated that they would be unable to complete their audit of the Company and its subsidiaries before end of October 2019 for purpose of issuance of annual report as per the ACELR.

KUCHING (Oct 4): The Sarawak Government is set to build two International Internet Gateways to achieve 5G internet speeds in the State.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said this was part of the Government’s main focus under the 12th Malaysia Plan in helping the State’s digital economy to take off.

He said he was made to understand that the two gateways, to be built here and in Miri, would be able to provide speeds up to 20 Terabits per second.

“This would enable us to reach 5G internet speeds,” he told media after launching the inaugural Borneo International Drone and Robotics Explore 2019, here, today which was jointly organised by Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Bumiputera Sarawak and the Sarawak Multimedia Authority.
