with less than 1 week to div pay out date, RSS net short position reached 3.04%, in fact it has been increasing from 2.8 before div ex-date.

So it begs one to question, the latest US ban has been perfectly time with RSS sellers to press down.

RSS shorties wont close their short position before ex-date. Their strategy is to short it further on ex-date, let say the price drop more than 0.252 after ex-date, they will still make money prior the div payment date on 6-Apr.

With less than 1 week to go before dividend ex-date. RSS sellers show no sign of closing their position.

It is getting very interesting now, maybe KLSE short seller are not required to pay dividend, who knows.

Back in 2020, i always find that TopGlove management has been very approacheable to the IBs analysts. With various zoom briefing on the company progress, even before the super profit being annouced. And all IBs started to give sky high TP, some even give TP RM100, citing "paradigm shift", "structural changes" etc.

Now after 3Q of superprofit, every q beating previous q, and all IBs started selling the shares like a PN17 company and reduced the TP.

It really make one wonder their motives and competency.

Also a lesson for all corp management, all these so called IB analysts are no friend of you, they will skin u alive if they had a chance.

this is getting ineterseting, now all IBs refresh their TP with 7+ to 9+
and Mr.Market is throwing tickets like TopGlove gonna become PN17 in few month time

this is becoming a laughing stock.

what sort of rubbish results!!! Worst performance in 10y.

Most of these call warrants expiring this wee kwere issued after Jun-2020; which coincided with the superbull run of TopGlove price from RM5 to RM10; and right smack at halfway point of 6mth (warrant tenor), Sept-2020, TopGlove price started the long downtrend.

Call warrants is just a call option, obviously issuers wont be selling a naked option when issued. They will have to delta hedge, which mean they will need to buy mothershares to hedge the warrant they sold to retailers. As the price go up, more ppl buying warrant, and more mothershares issuers need to buy to hedge. Hence the vicious cycle of TopGlove price of up and up.

And JPM obviously has spotted this, and started the RM3.5 price target and the big short on 4-Jan.

Nonetheless, it still surprise me, how fierce the sell down has been this week.
