Yesterday the short sellers only managed to cover a negligible 0.02% of the shorted shares for both TG and SPX.

TG 2.67% to 2.65% now

SPX 2.46% to 2.44% now

This could mean the price rise yesterday was caused more by new investors buying in than short sellers covering their shorts.

TG about 219mil shares outstanding.

SPX about 67mil shares outstanding.

Those are huge holes to cover.

Lets check tomorrow how many shares they managed to cover today.

The volume is not big at all.

This means the short sellers facing difficulty finding sellers.

They will have to bid higher and higher prices.
