Check out YTLPI's USD 2.1 billion investment in Jordan. I found this on YouTube. Looks like an advance stage, almost completion:

Translated from Arabic regarding YTL's project in Jordan:

As part of the state’s efforts to rely on local energy sources, a project to generate electricity by direct burning of oil shale is currently being implemented. It is expected that generation from the plant will start with a capacity of 470 MW of electricity in 2020, which is the first project of its kind in Jordan and the region, where the completion rate in the project reached 89 Percent until the end of 2019.

1 in 3 eligible consumers switches to electricity retailer

Mr Low Boon Tong, executive vice-president of retail at electrical retailer Geneco, said the company had received more than 20,000 sign-ups to date.

"The sign-up rate of Zone 1 is definitely faster than the pilot launch in Jurong, where more than 30 per cent of households and businesses switched from SP to one of the participating retailers. By itself, it's a promising figure compared to single digit take-up rates in other parts of the world," Mr Low said.

With greater competition in the electricity market, can consumers expect a further drop in prices?

Said Mr Low: "Having multiple providers benefits consumers. However, it's inevitable that price volatility will intensify, and the market will see more product variations as suppliers seek new ways to differentiate themselves.

"While price may seem the most important factor for now, consumers must understand that lower prices today are not a given in the long term - whether you stay on the current scheme or change to a new retailer."

First look at YTL’s plans for state-of-the-art homes on Filton Airfield

A landmark development that will see a former Bristol airfield converted into a state-of-the-art housing estate has taken a major step forward.

Malaysian firm YTL Developments have submitted a planning application to start building the first cluster of their 2,675 homes on Filton Airfield.

The homes - ranging in size from one bedroom flats to four bedroom houses - will be the first phase in the development of a completely new neighbourhood in the north of the city, to be known as Brabazon.

Can believe this research call by Hong Leong?

This was reported in Feb 2018 - Prime Minister of Jordan visited the project site. I think the news made an error, the total project investment is USD 2.1 billion and not JOD 2.2 million

If I am not mistaken the total debt although consolidated in the Audited Accounts are non-recourse ring-fence project finance. Which means in laymen terms, if anything goes wrong with the investment (which is mostly in overseas), there is no recourse to the parent company, parent company doesn't act as a guarantor for the project, hence downside is limited. Companies like TNB, Ekovest and Malakoff usually do Balance sheet financing which means there is a recourse to parent company. Hence, the analysts from the Equity Research have to do a better job in writing the reports as their analysis are usually misinterpreted. My two cents worth.

YTL PowerSeraya (YTLPS) has launched an integrated brand for its business and consumer energy portfolio known as Geneco, ahead of the nationwide rollout of the open electricity market on Nov 1.

"The move to consolidate both our business and consumer portfolios under the Geneco brand signals our intent to be the preferred integrated energy provider for businesses and homes across Singapore," said YTLPS chief executive Chan Swee Huat. "We will do this by having a clear focus on innovation, cost-effectiveness and sustainability, and providing practical energy solutions."

YTLPS is the second-largest power generation company in Singapore, with a licensed capacity of 3,100 megawatts. It has been generating power for Singapore for 47 years and has been in business-to-business energy retail for close to 17 years.

Geneco also sees the local electric vehicle (EV) sector as a segment for potential growth, and the newly rebranded entity will work with commercial fleets as well as building owners to roll out an electric vehicle charging network consisting of 1,000 charging points by 2025.

Mr Yeoh Keong Hann, executive director of YTL Power International, said: "By offering bundled electricity and EV charging solutions to customers, this network will serve the needs of a new generation of electric vehicles and cement Geneco's position as owner and operator of the largest electric vehicle charging network by an energy retailer in Singapore."

In order to restore electricity supply, EMA instructed other standby power-generating units to provide additional electricity supply.

These included unaffected units from Senoko and YTL PowerSeraya.

"The restoration of electricity supply was done in a controlled manner to ensure the electricity system remained stable. As electricity generation increased, supply to consumers was progressively restored over 38 minutes," it added.
