For FY17, Tongher declared a total of 36 cents per share dividend (18 cents interim paid and another 18 cents announced on Feb 26, 2018). With current price at RM3.57, this is equivalent to whopping 10% of yield! So down side is limited. Regarding Q4 poor result due to stronger RM, with our ballooning federal debts, do you think the RM strengthening will continue after GE? As long as business fundamental is still growing strong, my take is to accumulate on this temporary weakness.

Tongher is not affected by this new US tariff as most of Tongher's export to US is through its Thailand subsidiary and US has import duty exemption for
stainless steel hex screws and bolts manufactured and imported from Thailand.

Full year revenue ending Dec 31, 2017 still 21%higher than a year ago and net profit rose 27% YoY. External revenue expanded across geographic regions with strongest growth from Malaysia, Japan, US.

Unlikely to see panic selling in this company. Speculators and opportunists jumped ship long before Tongher bounced from multi-year low. Those still aboard are long term investors and fundamentalist that understand true value. Expect valuation revision and upgrade when Tongher reports its full year financial performance by end of this month.

Funds are buying else they will need to explain to their shareholders/bosses why they opt out earlier.

With so many 1 time off negative incidents in Q1 and Q2, YoY might not be a good comparison in this FY.

The management is trying hard to revive confidence on good governance and transparent. The announcement about longer term contract with ADNOC is necessary and provide updates on risk factors disclosed in prospectus.

To recap risk relating to feedstock supply in prospectus :
LCTITANT currently purchase naphtha supply from a variety of sources through contracts that are typically renewable annually. In the event LCTITAN cannot renew the supply agreements with suppliers on acceptable terms, and inability to obtain naphtha in sufficient quantities on a timely basis may impair its ability to manufacture products. In such cases, LCTITAN will need to seek alternative supply sources, which may not be on acceptable terms and could increase its production cost.

Conclusion:
The renewal of longer term contract is both reflective of demand optimism of LCTITAN products and peace-of-mind assurance of feedstock supply on terms acceptable by LCTITAN management.

While the judicial review proceeding of Magnum Holding Sdn Bhd (MHSB) is scheduled to be tomorrow, still no news about the outcome of Magnum Berhad hearing on 10 Jan. 2018. Isn't it a requirement for listed entity to disclose progress of material litigation to general public on timely manner?

Previous mediocre financial results were caused by loss making Vietnam JV. Tongher management should reward its shareholders (in the form of share buyback or special dividend) with proceeds recovered from disposing this JV to compensate lackluster share performance for the last few years.

@billionchew, from their latest quarterly report, accumulated of RM120 mil dividend was paid out earlier this year which translate into 6.95 cents per share

I noticed in Q3FY17 Tongher recorded -ve RM74.5mil of changes in working capital mainly due of higher inventories (from RM225 mil in Q2 to RM290 mil in Q3). In the back drop of growing sales, unlikely this was due to unsold goods. My guess is Tongher stock up input raw materials in anticipating of rising commodity price. If this was right, the bulk purchase of raw material timing was indeed executed so well and once again prove the strong business acumen of Tongher management team. With current nickel and aluminum price hitting multi-year high, Tongher will stand to gain higher profit margin in coming quarters.

Tongher BoD always has this prudence habit (but confusing in term of timing) of announcing final dividend in Q1 next FY i.e. end Apr from record of prior years.

First full year report card in Bursa after relisting. First dividend payout after few hiccups. What will you do if you were LCTITAN's board of directors ?
A) Another trust deficit. Not keeping the promise to distribute 50% of profit as dividend
B) As expected. Keeping the promise to distribute 50% of profit as dividend

Unfortunately, the directors and management of Uchi think current level is over priced despite it is still below intrinsic value. Retailers are buying/holding while the directors/management are selling.

More than 18% of Tongher FY16 sales are from Germany. German economy is forecast to grow by more than two percent this year - it's strongest in 6 years. Tongher shall see higher demand from this Europe's biggest economy. Germany is well known for its highest reputation for quality and design in the world. That's also speaks volume for Tongher's product quality.

@wklee, currently this call warrant is out-of-the-money (exercise price is higher than market price). With maturity less than 2 weeks away, it doesn't make sense to convert to mother lot. Hence it's current intrinsic value is nil.

YTD, Tan Sri Dato' Surin has acquired additional 12mil Magnum shares, increasing his total interest in the company to 34.62%. Plausible leadership in steering the company through perfect storms.

BJTOTO needs to focus on NFO and spin-off Berjaya Philippines Inc (BPI). BPI is root cause of all non-core distraction by holding equity interests in : luxury car dealership in UK, hotel/Papa John's Pizza/ Mazda & Ssangyong cars dealership in Philippines.

These should belongs to Berjaya Auto, Berjaya Land & Berjaya Food.

Ironic to read some analysts are advance betting on furniture related companies to be benefited from recent natural disasters in US but surprisingly none talk about "bolts, nuts & screws" related companies. People will need "bolts, nuts & screws" first to rebuilt their house before buying furniture fittings.

According to Annual Report 2016, 16.3% of Tongher sales were from US, an increased of 34% from the year before.

Any update on IRB court case?

This is speculation. Management should not trade stock but focus on running the business.

Stop excessive ESOS is better than selling treasury shares if Management intends to increase shareholder value.

Last FY was 30cents (10cents interim, 20cenrs final). This FY should able to pay 40cents, translate into 10.9% DY based on yesterday closing. Tremendous upside from current price.

If it can hold at current base, should able to break above RM4 by the time dividend announcement next month.

Based on Q2 result, PAT in first 2 quarters is equivalent to 64% of FY16's full year PAT. Tongher should report much better performance in this FY and shall see higher dividend payout.

Positive takeaway from BJTOTO AGM :
1. Management will offer online platform similar like dmcGo
2. Lotte (non-4D) sales enjoyed about 5% growth y-o-y
3. Management will focus on NFO as core and potentially divest HR Owen & other non core investments
