@shrobin im referring to technology startups ya so GDB might be a different case. Take Uber for example, its valuation is around USD 120bil. They make 10+ bil in revenue but have a net loss of around 5bil. Most tech startups have high valuation due to their crazy fundings but most are not profitable. So i wouldn't compare grab or technology startups to airasia as airasia is already established as a profitable company.

If you are currently holding AA shares now, why sell tomorrow? Tmr price will probably be adusted down due to 0.40c dividend. The only thing you should do is buy more to average down your price and hold

AA long term around 2-3 years is too good and strong TF is really a good leader full trust in him

AA already hedge around 40% of its oil price for Q1 and Q2 2019 before this announcement. Oil price going up but still lower than what AA used for Q3 2018. Not much to worry at least until next year end.

Fuel price was priced at an average of $95 for 3Q2018, compared to $63 the previous year. So to me, for Airasia operating revenue to drop by around 40% is considered quite okay already, cos other airlines all still making losses. Fuel price increase by almost 50% and yet AA still able to make profit, imagine with the fuel price now, AA profit confirm fly.

In terms of Oil price, AA has already announced that they have hedged 48% brent oil at $67 for 2019 Q1 and 27% at $65.40 for 2019 Q2. And given that oil is so much lower that those figures, pretty sure AA has already hedged much more at lower price. So in my opinion dont have to worry about oil prices at least until Q2 2019

If you look closely into the QR, operating profit actually decrease by around 40%, but due to factors like disposal gain, forex gain and deferred taxation, its net profit shot up by around 80%. These are all one-off gain and will come back to bite in the future. But overall 0.4c dividend might be good enough given current environment. Expect AA to go up towards year end and maybe slowly trend downwards next year.
