dreamer74, you are right. over the past 3 years, Q1 result is always lower than other 3 QRs, maybe due to billing cycle. So don't be over optimistic on the coming Q1R'17, it could be much lower than Q4R'16. We may be able to get some hints on Q1R'17 from the BOD in the coming AGM. For those who intend to invest in Dnex for medium or long term, it is worthwhile to attend the AGM. Cheers.

Last year Dnex paid 1 sen dividend in May. They may announce dividend again early next month.

No doubt next quarter results, Q1R17 can easily beat Q1R16 with net profit of only RM 5.373 mil. But I am quite doubtful Q1R17 can match Q4R16 with an impressive net profit of RM 30.619 mil. If next QR's net profit can exceed RM 30 mil again, then it is considered an excellent if not fantastic results. Hope for the best. I am a bit curious and concern why the management bring forward the next AGM 1 month earlier to 2 May before releasing next QR, is it related to QR?

haha...thinkfirst, if you are so confident and optimistic mom can go up to 1.00, then son can easily go up to 0.70-0.80 as son will only mature in July 2021. So you should buy more son in order to get much better return percentage wise.

Dnex moves up from about 0.28 to 0.455 ==> 62.5 % profit.
Son moves up from about 0.07 to 0.27 ==> 285.6 % profit.
When son has moved up to 0.14 (already up 100%), many members said son over-priced, trading at premium over 80%, too risky to buy lah..., Now you see, is it really over-price that time? Luckily I have bought both mom & son.

Dnex (Formally called Time Engineering) is no more a GLC. Khazanah has sold all stake in Time Engineering in 2013 as confirmed by the MD Zainal Abidin during his interview with BFM in Dec 2015. MD didn't mention sold to who, i guess most likely to Censof. The profile of Directors in the Annual Report clearly showing Dnex has a very strong Management Team. The Chairman, Tan Sri Abd Rahman Mamat is a former Secretary-General (KSU) of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and had served at MITI for 35 years. The MD, Zainal ‘Abidin Abd Jalil had served as CEO of Malakof and he had a long 28 years career at ExxonMobil.

If you are confidence mom can go to 1.00, then son can go to 0.70-0.80. So buying Dnex & son at current price is still very very cheap.

For retailers who intent to hold Dnex and/or son for medium to long term, it is worthwhile to browse through the Annual Report, very informative and well prepared.

More selling pressure for mom during correction, probably because of mom has more shares. Son still has good support at 0.245/0.25. Look like better to invest more in son.

The next push will bring share price to new high. It won't be a long 1-2 month wait like last round, as AGM and next QR coming next month. Also more investors will have interest in Dnex & son share after the surge on Wednesday.

If mom 1.00, then WD will be 0.70 or more. Those who hold WD going to make a lot of money. TP of 1.0 for mom is a bit ambitious, a more reasonable TP is 0.60-0.80 by end of this year.

I hope not the 1st possibility.

Very long white candle today, chartist loves to see this. Today son's vol (about 233 mil) even though quite high is only about half of son's vol created on the 2 & 3 Mar. Hope tomorrow can maintain the momentum and move uptrend. Cheers.

Nigel, not purely speculation, but based on observations. Ya, you are right, trading on Dnex & son already boring, after reading my comments with I think, someone may feel more boring. I'll keep for at least 2-3 months until the next QR due in May and next AGM in June before I decide whether to keep longer. By that time, hopefully we'll have a clearer picture on whether it is worthwhile keeping for long term. Anyway thanks for your advice.

I think big sharks have been collecting over the past few weeks and they are still collecting, waiting for the right time to push. They are trying to make weak holders and short tern investors frustrated and lose confidence by creating a 'mini bump and dump' every few days. Just be patience. The next wave will come.
