What makes the price suddenly shot up 16sens? More good news?

HSR very hard to judge as the project actually didnt start yet. But ECRL has a high chance to resume as the project already started. As long as PH can renegotiate the cost structure, the project is likely to go on, just like what happened at LRT3.

However, unlike LRT3. PH have to deal with foreign government for both HSR and ECRL projects. The negotiation process is going to be very tough and could take a long time.

It depends on how patient you are.

To be honest... poor managed government body like Prasarana Malaysia Bhd, should let it die faster!

MoF is by passing Prasarana Malaysia Bhd and work direct to PDP... that means, dont be surprise if one day a breaking news pop out says Prasarana Malaysia Bhd will be taking by MoF and liquidate, just like SPAD.

According to GKENT website, they have 7 ongoing projects.

1 water treatment plant at Papua New Guinea,
3 hospital projects
1 MRT project
2 LRT projects.

MRT project already known in trouble and brought the share price to RM1.15.

Now LRT projects break out bad news brought the share price down to RM0.99.

According to 2018 annual report, their earning per share is RM0.221.

On Monday GM, the management said aiming to increase contribution of water meter business from 50% to 75%.

That means current earning contribution from water meter business is RM0.1105 per share.

Currently KLSE average P/E ratio is 16x.

That means reasonable share price for GKENT is (RM0.1105 x 16 =) RM1.768?

Even if we lower the average KLSE average P/E to 10x, means the share price is (RM0.1105 x 10 =) RM1.105?

Or, the dividend per share was 0.095 at 2018. If water metar business really contribute 50%, then the dividend for water meter is RM0.0475. Geven the FD rate now is 4%, so the share price should be (0.0475 / 0.04 =) RM1.1875?

Trying to find the reasonable price for GKENT...

MY E.G. SERVICES BHD bought back 7mil MyEG shares today and the stock price rose from RM0.735 (lowest) to RM0.855 (closing price), a 9.62% increased in price. Cant wait to see what will happens when Share Buy Back on GKENT.

Just got to know GKENT yesterday rally wasn't because of buy back, it was because of the rumour that ECRL not likely to scrap that easy.
