The short-term results are unknown.
But we all know what to expect by Q3.
Same like those who bought car (MBMR, UMW) and bank stocks (Maybank, PBB, HLB). They know that the short-term stock movement is not impressive.
But by the end of the year, it is a fair price. And for K1, we won't have to wait for the year-end if manufacturing starts Q3 as targeted.

If the research you have done indicates that this company is worth holding, then believe in yourself and don't get swept by market sentiment.

Ok...I can't blame you.
I apologise if I sounded mean. I made a rash conclusion and thought you were a shadow account for another user.

Throughout this whole month, this counter only touched 40sen once, two weeks ago when DJ fell 1.8k points. It managed to rebound and we kept it steady since; we can see this by looking at the chart for the past month.
We are all looking for direction now, which brings us to the question of why they haven't announced the QR. We know that based on Company Announcement May 22, 2020, it says:
"The exercise of the Call Option will be completed within one (1) month from the date of the Exercise Notice of 22 May 2020. Upon completion, the Company will own 100% of G-AsiaPacific Sdn. Bhd. instead of the current 60%."
Based on this, it is possible that currently they are busy consolidating the accounts to improve net income for Q1 because G-AsiaPac is a profitable company. If NOT, then the management should be grilled at AGM because we should read the QR before attending AGM. Maybe they don't like difficult questions.
But who knows, because they started the process at 22 May and gave themselves 1 month.

Oh yeah?
Has your SPSetia and Astro hit RM1 yet like you said it would last Sunday?
Permaju is nowhere near your 60 sen prediction.
2020-06-25 16:50 | Report Abuse
Actually no, you didn't say it would close at 40sen on Monday.
You said it would close at 60 SEN on Monday.

The virus is back. How is your PErmaju? Has it hit 40sen on Monday like you said it would on Sunday?
Oh wait, I see that it already closed at 34sen on Monday and hasn't recovered since.

If they release the QR there will be less uncertainty, more difficult for the predators to shake the price.

No wonder the market is getting red.

Understandable that you will panic. It can be scary in these situations.
If you feel that after factoring your research and everything that has been discussed on this forum, that K1 still has no future, then go ahead and cut loss.
But if you think this is a short term shock, and you have holding power, then you may want to hold.

Warn people? On Sunday evening you were still saying that it would close at 60 sen on Monday. Not Tuesday, not Wednesday, you said "tomorrow", which means Monday.
It closed at 34 sen instead.
What new information could have come out between 4pm Sunday and 9am Monday that made you completely change your mind about this counter?
Your SPSetia and Astro prediction that it would hit RM1 on Monday also did not manifest.

Yes, another case of sideways market.
As mh87 said, it is doubtful that this counter will punch upwards without fresh news that is covered by mainstream portals. The Edge didn't even write about the G-Asia Pacific acquisition.
I had assumed they would because during the 60% acquisition they did a write-up on it.

Out of curiosity, may I ask if there's anyone here who is investing because they have confidence in the company and not because they hope to goreng tomorrow? I'd like to know their reasoning.
I know that someone said SimplyWallStreet indicated fair value at RM3.59, which is true, but SimplyWallStreet only recorded financial data such as net income up to 6/30/2019. Quite odd for a popular website.

June 18 you said "Topglov dropped -$1.10 already. This is the end of healthcare era. Too overvalued, now it will go down."
Well, Topglove closed at 14.70 then. It is 15.60 now.

@ZC2020
Some counters we can play contra, some we hold long term.
As somebody from another forum said: When you have chosen the right company and the right industry to invest in, the time to sell is almost never.
Me, I only hold 93k of this stock at 42c. I will liquidate some when the time comes, but now is not the time yet.
I've made the mistake of selling early too many times.
I had Comfort when it was RM1, Harta at RM7, Opensys at 53c, etc.
It's not that I didn't have holding power, I just gave up waiting, wanted profit fast. And the impatience costed me. I learned that sometimes, the best thing to do with your stock is nothing.
Share price goes up and down, but if the company is good, there is only one direction in the long-run.

At this point the trade volume is very impressive. No. 4 in Bursa, a very close second behind No. 3, and the most expensive stock between the top 5.
I think it's no exaggeration that this counter has gained the attention of many people, though a substantial portion are probably playing contra elsewhere while waiting for the right time to commit.
Might be too late by then.

I suppose we could call it covid stock due to public perception, but the healthcare segment has existed for some time already.
If we take an excerpt from their 2019 Annual Report, it says that in 2019 they experienced "significant sales growth in medical/healthcare devices, IoT gadgets and industrial products."
They decreased their focus on security products due to decrease in sales and they did it by disposing of an associate security services company Q42019.
It seems there is also R&D focus on healthcare.
"With the signing up of various key US and European customers in the medical/healthcare and IoT industries in 2019, the R&D engineers were very focused in developing medical/healthcare devices and IoT gadgets throughout the year."

Some users have told me that the call option is to purchase the remaining shares in G-Asia Pacific.
Maybe I'm blind, but I have not managed to find the link that mentions G-Asia Pacific.
If it is true, then issuing new shares would decrease EPS. But, if it was used to acquire G-Asia Pacific, it would also increase net income because G-Asia Pacific is a profitable company.
Last year the cloud segment contributed 2.5 mil out of K1's net profit of 6.1 mil, and that was when K1 only held 60% of shares in G-Asia Pacific.

@Leader11
K1 is not a glove counter...but it is healthcare + tech.
It has resistance and support against market movement, but not completely immune to it.
When gloves crashed last Friday, K1 was among the first to rise back into green to 52 sen.
Today everything dropped across the board, so it was quite expected that K1 would take a hit.

I agree. Further benefits from cloud biz will probably manifest in Q2, considering the duration of the MCOs.
-Malaysian MCO from 18th March until 9th June
-Singaporean Circuit breaker starts 7th April until 1st June
I wonder if the Singapore G-Asia Pacific branch they set up in 13 May can start showing revenue in Q2.
