I see the third black crow forming at Comfort, Ruberex, and Careplus. Unless Topglove release QR, things may get rocky for that sector soon.
But so far K1 is holding.

Well, it's finally out. Nothing spectacular, but not the horror story some were expecting.

No one knows when the news will come out.
Only you would know whether you can hold until then.
But what can be observed now is that no place is completely safe.
Every glove counter entered red today except Harta, and majority remain in red.
Lkl? Mtag? Gpacket? Kgroup? Hlt? All static.

I beg to disagree.
If you bought car sector Mbmr/Umw yesterday, you would lose today.
If bought Comfort/Topglove/Ruberex yesterday, would be loss now.
If you bought stock for any bank, nearly all red today.
Telecomms practically no movement.

I know it's not expensive in terms of P/E. I find it undervalued as well.
What I meant was that this is a higher-priced counter. When we buy it, it locks up a substantial amount of our funds, but that's a reasonable cost for solid blue chip investment.
But even the hottest 50 sen stocks rarely get 19 million buy orders at any time of the day.
Tenaga had that, inferring that some body is watching the counter, but yet to commit.

Not saying that Qr out at the end of this month. Can be sooner.
I just feel that something will happen within this month, knowing that they applied for approval from MoH a full month ago.

Depends if 20 days is long term for you.

Close at 0.50...still better performance than Careplus/Comfort/Ruberex/Supermax...& Tenaga.

Buyer to seller ratio 3:1. Still fine.

Look at that. 16 million buyers vs 4 million sellers at RM11.90.
For a stock this expensive, to have 15 million buyers and yet little movement...mystery to me.

Compare to ACO? Nah. ACO value doubled in just 1.5 trading days. The investor's resolve not tested yet.
K1's support has been tested several times and each time the price floor rises.
When you jump too high until you can't see the ground, that is when falling down can be most painful.

Good close at 5.15 with support at 5.05.
Trade volume will overtake Gpacket in second session.

At 3.02 there are 2.2 mil buyers against 760k sellers.
Can you feel the tension of the rubber band being pulled before release?

How did K1 become an approved manufacturer for NASA's ventilator?
Experience
K1's healthcare EMS sector is about designing, developing, and manufacturing medical devices.
Existing product portfolio includes vein scanners, blood testing devices, drug testing devices, infusion pumps, etc (website).
Facility
"We have facilities and systems which are ISO 13485 certified and FDA registered since 2016 and 2018 respectively. Additionally, we have available Class 10k cleanroom facilities." (website)
Existing foreign clientele
The EMS business is export driven, on average with more than 90% of its business each year since its inception in 2001, exported primarily to Europe, US and various countries in Asia (p.12, 2019 Annual Report).
Foresight
Main focus of the R&D team remains with the development of medical/healthcare devices as the Group believes its future lies with the medical/healthcare industry which promises high growth, longer product life cycle and attractive margins (p.10, 2019 Annual Report).
Point to take away is that K1 did not just decide overnight to enter the healthcare sector.
They have been involved for years and they see healthcare business as their future.
They accumulated the experience, the equipment, the client base; that is how they can target ventilator manufacturing at Q3 2020. Faster than Penta who targets 2021, and likely faster than Sanichi coalition who are relying on a foreign company to do the local and international marketing and distribution.

I remember this kind of discussion when Hartalega QR came out.
"Profit good but not good enough. Overpriced. Run, run."
The market opened the next day and Harta dropped 60 sen within the first half hour. Panic sell.
By the end of that same day, it recovered 50 sen. And what happened after, you can see from the chart.
Back at the forum, the same person who was telling everyone to sell the day before, was openly boasting how they managed to scare others into selling.
Whether it goes up or down on Tuesday, nobody knows. But everyone has an agenda.

Better to have controlled increase with expected price correction than uncontrolled increase like Gpacket. You can compare the charts for the past month and see which one answers the question of "what price are people willing to hold?"
2020-06-05 15:15 | Report Abuse
After the late hour spike yesterday, I think it's only natural to have correction.
In the earlier correction two days ago it rallied at 45 sen despite the glove market crash.
Now it is holding at 49-50 sen and the buyers outnumber sellers. 4 to 1 currently, and usually at least 3 to 2.

Investors happily pump money in bank stocks but Tenaga still struggling to achieve it's fair value (RM12.75, according to SimplyWallStreet).
Don't make sense to me.

@stncws Go back to scaring people in the glove sector...those who follow your advise and sell at the bottom must be crying now because they are back to normal levels.

Obvious what he is trying to do.

@GooShen is from Pentamaster.
In March, told people to wait until Penta drop below RM3 to buy again.
Next day Penta up 50 sen so GooShen call it a dead cat rebound.
Now Penta is RM4.80.
Whether he is right or wrong this time...you decide.

Looks like a good time to enter when it hits the bottom.

@GLNT Ah, thanks for pointing out. I totally missed it.
I wonder how much the 26% reduction in unit sales contributed to the -33% QoQ.

In Q1 2019, Perodua sold 60,700 units.
https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/automotive-sectors-growth-seen-demand-new-suvs
In Q1 2020, Perodua sold 36,376 (Jan-Feb) + 8,601 (March) = 44,977 units
https://paultan.org/2020/03/24/malaysia-vehicle-sales-data-for-february-2020-by-brand/
https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/perodua-registers-7886-cars-may-has-sold-52920-cars-ytd
The numbers are not bad considering the circumstances, but the Q1 QR will likely not be favorable and seeing that we are in June and only 8k units have been sold since April, the Q2 QR will not be...favorable.
I do feel that this counter will grow big in the future, but I don't know whether any increase in price now can be sustained over the next few months. Truthfully, I'd like it if it stays below 3.00 so I can come back after milking the health stocks, so that is my udang sebalik batu.

@j2tlap
When I compare this PE with others such as
-HLT 89.95
-Negative PE ratio: LKL, MLAB
-every single glove company,
I feel that K1 still possesses upward potential.
