4. completely mishandling race relations in US

Obama won his second term becos he was a competent administrator who also made respectable efforts to mend damaged relations with the Islamic world

GW Bush won his second term after demonising Saddam Hussein & then invading & devastatating Afghanistan & Iraq under the guise of battling 'Islamic terrorism'

Clinton won his second term becos he was already a big hero after engineering the collapse of the USSR & soon afyerward whupping the Serbs's arse in Yugoslav war
