MYEG not elected as GST Collector, says the Director General of The Royal Malaysian Customs ? Yes this is the headline of a small article in The Edge Financial Daily today and just managed to speak to management on this :

*Thought it should be a non event article for MYEG, but stock down 5% today with 4.6mn shrs traded vs its 3-mths avg of 1.29mn shrs.

* Just managed to speak to mgmt of MYEG to see whether I understand the article correctly and please find below feedback from mgmt

1) It is technically correct that MYEG is not a "GST collector"

2) MYEG "is not supposed" to collect GST on behalf of Government and MYEG is supposed to undertake Custom Online Reporting (Electronic Monitoring System - EMS). The appointment entails linking up point - of - sales terminals and cash register businesses that are subjected to Customs' tax collection as well as to provide portal for them to do tax reporting. Recall MYEG received the letter of award on 13 Feb and announcement was made on the same day

3) It is true that government do not fund the project as MYEG will be the one funding the capex to be incurred for this project (consistent all these while)

* In another separate announcement by MYEG, it is also stated that based on the value of the Custom Online Tax Reporting stipulated in the Letter of Ward, MYEG could achieve an estimated effective 20% revenue from the increase in tax collection by participating businesses over and above what the Government is able to collect on its own when the Project is implemented from 1st April. (Also consistent all these while)

* Well the gist of this is, the headline is technically correct, but please don't be panic as MYEG will still be involved in the custom monitoring and tax reporting portal front as what they have been telling investors. So the selldown in the market if it is due to this article, could ultimately be a misconception that MYEG does not have a role anymore*

It's means u buy the share and if the share drop u had cash to keep until the share rebound.... Its never means u can't sell it or take profit if u can more than 50perct.... U don't need worry cause the war not yet end and u had chance to gain back just need another 2 month.... Trs project will give Mpay total revenue 50 million in the 1st year that's means this company revenue X10.... 50 million for Iris company is a small amount and no effect even get the project but for Mpay it means a lot and on that times the share price I don't know will raise to wat price... But now we still don't know the project who get it so only waiting is our choice...

For those ppl buy on high price don't panic to sell just keep and wait till mid July cause when u panic sell u lose more and than let ppl got chance to buy cheap share... When the price drop fast watch the volume 1st and don't panic..... If those investor wan to play safe just get in when the project announce don't need too rush.... Like today's I get an info that's 1.55 million share (0.265) buy from same person start 3pm.... Which person so confident to nonstop collect the share wtout any announcement... From my analyse today's suppose downtrend and wil close below 0.26 cause to many negative news attack Mpay but we can see the strong support at 0.265 and suddenly on the SELL side all the share volume reduce.... Weird.... Suddenly had a lot support on buy side.... Iris situation same as Mpay too... And do u all feel it that 0.27 the Ask side reduce so much volume but not much ppl it on that time and the buy volume not match wt the reducing share so I guess had some 1 key in more share for sell at 0.27 to makes a block and I believe so many panic investor wil folo to Q at 0.27 or sell it on 0.265...I guess they makes a big block on a certain price and Q below the price to collect share...
