Really don’t understand what is so hard about buying and holding the stock patiently. Haven’t invested in Bursa until gloves came along, no other businesses in Malaysia comes close to the rubber glove sector when it comes to global market share. It is every Malaysian’s privilege to invest in gloves stocks. Because it’s the only globally competitive sector which has a dominant position in the global market. Don’t tell me our country has better companies in other sectors like banking, energy, telco, tech etc than other countries, I will buy Tesla, Apple or Alibaba at all time highs in a heartbeat if I’m asked to choose between Wall Street and Bursa the casino. But Wall Street doesn’t have glove stocks. And that’s why I only hold gloves in Bursa the casino.

Bursa is a casino. No good companies to invest in. That’s why KLCI has been in downtrend for the last 20 years.

Don’t think short selling is going to change anything but I would love to see glove short sellers get burnt like Tesla bears.

Let’s just put it this way, Malaysia has over 60% of the global market share on gloves. Is that enough moat for you? And in our country there’s no other businesses that has global competitiveness like the glove industry. Staying long in the rubber glove sector is a privilege for every Malaysian investor.

This swagger be like: I can do this all day.

If we go by your logic again, if gloves are undersupplied going into FY2021, ASP will continue to increase.

Stock

Demand & supply? If we go by this logic, are gloves not undersupplied going into FY2021? And I don’t think you understand what an economic moat is. Supermax with an OBM model already has higher profit margin, with automation they can bump the margin up by another 50+%. The other OEM manufacturers get choked by their distributors, unlike food stuff, gloves don’t perish. Hartalega is OEM but has much better margins than topglove thanks to automation. Automation is an undisrupted field in Malaysia, there are no other glove companies like Hartalega when it comes to efficient material use, glove quality and automated production lines. If supermax invests into these 3 things, I don’t see why they can’t have better margins and growth.

Stock

2020-12-17 14:13 | Report Abuse

Supermax has no moat? Excuse me? And do you even know what is the difference between OBM and OEM? OBM is essentially B2C while OEM is B2B. When distributors buy from manufacturers, they can buy a lot and stockpile to sell at a later date when the market price of the gloves is better, making OEMs miss out on all the increased selling prices. With an OBM model, Supermax has nobody to undercut their profits. If Supermax begin working on automation of their production line and improve the quality of their gloves similiar to how hartalega does, they will enjoy heightened profit margin with minimal operating costs. Tell me that’s not moat lol.

Supermax KLCI inclusion in a week’s time, buy in and ride the wave up as funds buy the stock after 21st

Stock

2020-12-14 17:57 | Report Abuse

Today’s market reaction goes to show why KLCI traded sideways for the last 10 years. There’s too little investors and way too many traders all high on leverage and margin calls in the market. The glove sector is the only sector in Malaysia that dominates global market share, and yet investors just don’t appreciate the fact. Talking about supernormal profit being the norm and priced in and vaccine’s out and all. Just goes to prove Bursa is infested by traders, and financial education is just way too bad among the rakyat.

The market can’t keep ignoring the supernormal results. The longer the consolidation the greater the breakout.

JPM’s a joke. 90$ Tesla TP when the stock’s trading at 650$. Last year when BTC hit 20k$, JPM was painting BTC as a fraud. But look at where both $TSLA and BTC are right now. When JPM say sell, I buy lol.

I can’t imagine how much better Supermax’s QR will be with their OBM business model. With the KLCI inclusion, funds have to buy in whether they like it or not. The Supermax board knows we are all growth investors here and they paid dividends in shares instead of cash. With a good business prospect and a strategic management, I’m not going anywhere but the moon with Supermax.

Stock

2020-12-07 17:04 | Report Abuse

On the technical side of things, Supermax had been trading in a symmetrical triangle since its all time high back in August. The stock has been consolidating in the wedge for over 4 months now, each time clocking in higher lows. The previous higher low was RM7.00 which today’s dip to RM7.70 did not exceed. Tho I expect the consolidation to continue through December considering the coming glove counter warrants expiring on the 18th, 24th and 31st December 2020. The longer the stock consolidates, the greater the breakout. This is not a buy or sell call. Stay patient and keep well.

Good company with explosive growth potential, global market share leader and several index inclusions, need I say more? Short term volatility doesn’t matter when you invest with conviction. Tesla and Bitcoin both have massive bears shorting but it’s on its way to the moon. Great stocks like this have a few things in common:

1. Explosive growth potential
2. Cult like investor following
3. Strong investment thesis
4. Biggest bears on the street

When I see traits like this, I all in and wait to make a killing. I make sure I stay patient while drowning out all the noises and ignoring short term volatility. This is how I invest in fundamentally great (not just good) companies, just my two cents.
