As I said earlier, Q2 ringgit was stronger compare to same period last year. Also,minimum 20 to 25% Mas passengers shifted to AA at least since MH370 case. Go to KLIA2 at 5 am daily and see the crowds there. Malindo was one of the factor AA dropped from 3.80 all the way down to below 2.50 but after 1 year , proven AA hold strong and still people preference. AA is not just a cheap airline, it is branded low cost airline.

So got few weeks nicely play slow and steady towards 2.60-2.70 range before Q2 results . Then by the announcement of Q2 superb results will be way above 2.80 . Hopefully follow thru with share buy back scheme then can see 3.00 lor

The fear factor is possibly much bigger than the cost factor for most passengers for the time being. On some long haul routes, Mas should immediately consider tumpang on other nations flights alliances instead of expanding its frequency. Otherwise, it will face huge cost pressure due to low occupancy post recent fear factors. Be realistic and so long as cost is under control, its lifeline will be stronger.
