What is the price of the stock?

Stock Price = Valuation × Performance.

Valuation is a discount of future growth expectations. A growth stock with a future growth rate of 50% is worth a higher valuation than a value stock with a future growth rate of 10%.

Performance is how much profit is earned per share.

The so-called double kill for Davis means killing valuation first, then performance. For example $Tesla(TSLA.US)$ That's a great example.

How did Tesla's stock price soar to the sky in the beginning? First the valuation, then the performance. It is growing rapidly, and the price-earnings ratio is high. Performance increased again, and stock prices began to soar.

Now, valuations have been reduced to a level not much higher than those of traditional car companies, and performance is beginning to fall short of expectations. The stock price went from low to low, going from 400 (1200 before the stock split) to double digits.

How is the valuation calculated? Three parts: expected growth rate, mood buff, and risk-free interest rates. Tesla's growth rate has slowed, sentiment has declined, beliefs have collapsed, and treasury bond yields have soared. In the end, the valuation dropped below 20 times (it was actually seriously underestimated at the time).

Furthermore, in terms of performance, weak demand, increased competition, and promotion through reduced prices will inevitably lead to a decline in profit margins. However, compared to other car companies, including traditional car companies, Tesla's performance should still lead the way.

There is an exponential relationship between valuation and performance of Davis's double kill. When valuations are cut in half and performance is cut in half, stock prices have reached their knees. If it's all cut in half again, the stock price will be at your fingertips.

Currently, technology stocks are generally under pressure. This wave of valuations has almost killed off; it is time to kill performance next. I'm afraid technology companies' financial reports for the first two quarters of this year didn't look good.
