All you need to do is study hard, choose a good stock with big upside & small downside, then go in at the right time.

With 1 mil units, whether Reach, or Carimin, or Perdana, or even Reach WA, 1 sen rise = RM10k profit, 10 sen rise = RM100k profit. Sometimes, you hit lucky, and you get that in just one month of play or less.

Carimin & Perdana were only about 23 in early September, and they both went up to 35 - 36 about a month or so ago.

You cannot get this kind of return with property investment, although property is much, much lower risk & therefore much much safer.

How is holding 1 mil units so called 'my ass', Jeffrey Ng. At 40, it would hv come to only RM400k. Not such a vast sum of capital. Many are playing at that level, even higher.

And if you had bought in August, or even early September, it was only 33 sen, so cost would hv been only RM330k.

Another possible consequence of Kashoggi incident. This one rarely cited, so far. Saudi people at large could begin feeling angry toward Saudi monarchy. Beginning with Kashoggi's immediate family.

Resentment could spread nationwide. Potentially quite dangerous, politically. Becos can rather easily flare up into people's uprising or rebellion. All it takes is one or two fiery orators to stoke things & emotions up, and one or two further minor incidents.

One way for Saudi govmt to counter this, make oil price rise, so Saudi govmt obtain more revenue to share with the rakyat, thereby making them forget about Kashoggi.

Oil price still good. No reason for nervousness-driven selling at 37.5 sen. Other than temporary anxieties regarding budget, Gamuda, new taxes etc. Then after anxieties subside, panic buying back @40 later. This is not prudent investing.

A good investor needs to be in control of his fears, not let his fears be in control of him.
