There are two dividend payout in 2019, 1st payout-regular dividend 40 cents/share and 2nd payout-special dividend of 90cents/share,

Hence, a total dividend of RM1.3 per share.

Imagine if you just invest with RM5000 @ RM3 share price, this means you own 1666unit of shares and are entitled to RM2,167 dividend return in 2019, ROI 43%.

But of course after the dividend payout, it is normal for the share price to drop because it has become less attractive. You can find this scenario happen in real world for other klse stocks like Ecoworld, BAT, BAuto etc etc as well as in the Finance textbook.

So lets examine what should be the fair value of shares after dividend payout for AA case in 2019?.
We take RM3 - RM1.3(total dividend payout) means the after dividend share price should be around RM1.7 range. And the actual AA share price after the dividend actually did falls to this range.

So this explains why AA share price dropped from RM3 to RM1.8 after July 2019 and it is not because of AA performance or the Aviation industry become less attractive.
Usually after such a huge drop, the price needs sometime to recover but unfortunately the first covid case was detected 4 months later in Dec 19 and result in further drop.

So as a conclusion, AA price has RM1.82 or 154%(RM3-RM1.18) potential room for its price to grow in the next twelve months. We dont talk about their new digital business yet but this is the minimum return we can foresee.

Not all losses are related to cash flow. A bulk of its expenses consisted of non-cash flow item such like depreciation and impairment losses purely are accounting paper loss and is normal for assets based business. The cash payment for these items would have already paid few years back and not going to utilize from its existing monies from the bank.

Because they want to profit from Air Asia, sell the borrowed stocks between RM1.24 to RM1.27 and then hope can buy back later at cheaper price to return the stocks lender.

Firstly, regarding the second tranche of Private Placement, this announcement already being made on 9 Mar 21, so is a historic event and already being factored in today's price.

Secondly, tomorrow AA QR released, everyone knows AA is making loss during Financial year 2020, so what's the big deal? By the way please name one of the airline that is making profit during FY20? Hence, AA net loss expectation also being factored in the share price already.

In addition, IF tomorrow the 4th Quarter result net loss is much lower than the previous quarters, it will be another shooting star tomorrow for AA.

In the past years the MSC share price did hit RM2.87( for example during april 2018) then after that the company split into 4 shares for every 1 existing share (RM0.71/share) to make the share price look more cheaper and attractive for investors. Hence 2021(last week) is not the first time it reaches this RM2.87 high price. Furthermore, the company is moving to Pulau Indah plant in 2021 with greater production capacity and are fully utilizing solar renewable energy and automation to minimize two major of its production overhead, Electricity and Wages cost.
