i think thplant is as good as jtiasa...landsize of >200k acres...quite similar..
a good takeover target for the big boys...who can better replant and extract the palm oil....
2024-03-07 10:05 | Report Abuse
thplant is profitable and still trading below NTA......and it has various plantation assets as mention by calvin..
so, it might also be an attractive target for bigger plantation co....
2024-03-06 17:12 | Report Abuse
compare to jtiasa this is half priced.. so some retailers would feel that thplant shares are cheaper and more affordable..
hahaha

OTB , if you are that old you should know. Back then timber stocks are high flying due to demand of timber from japan...and rising log prices.... so back then several stocks like aokam , they call it "black gold" shoot up.. so was other timber stocks also.. but this is purely due to "goreng"...

in terms of dividend yield , as the share already run up and base on 1.20 share price, the 2.5 or 3.2 sen , dividen yield is only 2.67%..............nothing like huge or big ang pau,, maybe they reserve for expenses and their debts
so it would appears fairly valued for now...
lets see how the "fun" mgr , market maker or insider reacts tomoro....
ultimately those who have or hold millions or hundereds of millions of shares will decide the direction..

Lower profit and so so results...
2024-02-29 15:53 | Report Abuse
why the fund dumping? is it they scared this qtr results no good..?
2024-02-29 10:32 | Report Abuse
well i wouldnt invest in a value trap, unless the management has plan to unlock the value..
also if the value is in shares, the actual value could be much lesser....since if the shares is dump to the market , it probably wont be worth much...unless there is a buyer...
2024-02-29 09:20 | Report Abuse
ideally the company or ceo should explain why no dividend despite the good results...
or else some investors will be dissapointed
2024-02-28 15:26 | Report Abuse
i think it also depends on the market maker and insider of the stocks.. if they still hold or take profit..
as they would know whats coming in the future...
previously they would have bought knowing the good results, so not surprising now they take profit....
2024-02-23 17:09 | Report Abuse
i think united plantation they also have coconuts.......and its own railway...
super efficient..
so jtiasa... just relax and hold, eventually it will be one of the great plantation company, if continue to be manage well...
