These days so easy, BWC and his clone IDs have fallen so low until they no longer dare over-promote AA to scam innocent readers anymore and now only can make a few nasty or vulgar posts a day. Therefore, things are looking good for the AA forum in 2018 since many readers have recently voiced support for richardlee to keep exposing crooks and to warn readers to be careful of traps on AA forum. Hope readers keep supporting richardlee and his good cause against crooks. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Keep eye on big picture and Happy Investing! Hehe

On Sept 25, AirAsia inked a non-binding term sheet with Everbright Financial Investment Holdings, Plato Capital Ltd and Oxley Capital Ltd to supplement a memorandum of understanding (MoU) dated May 14 between it, Everbright and Henan Government Working Group for purposes of setting up a JV in China to operate a low-cost aviation business.

China-based Everbright is a conglomerate focusing mainly on financial services.

Plato, listed on the Singapore Exchange, is involved in hospitality, education and precision engineering sectors while Oxley is part of the Oxley Group, a Singapore-headquartered private investment firm.

According to the announcement on the MoU, the JV will also look into developing infrastructure apart from setting up a JV low-cost airline.

The JV will invest in the development of a low-cost carrier terminal, an aviation academy for pilots, engineers and crew training as well as a maintenance, repair and overhaul provider in Zhengzhou, which is intended as AirAsia China’s operating base and headquarters.

KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd is a step closer to setting up a joint-venture low-cost airline operation in China, having received a business licence approval on Nov 13 from the local government (via unit AirAsia Investment Ltd) and incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, AirAsia said the new subsidiary, AirAsia (Guangzhou) Aviation Service Ltd Company, was expected to have issued share capital of US$1mil.

“The main objective of establishing the subsidiary is to have an aviation and commercial services company in China. The incorporation of the subsidiary is not expected to have any immediate effect on the issued and paid-up share capital or substantial shareholders’ shareholding in AirAsia,” it said.

Indian airlines are likely to induct more than 900 aircraft in the coming years, with IndiGo alone expected to add 448 planes, according to official data.

India is one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world and most airlines have ambitious expansion plans, especially to tap the potential on regional routes.

As per data available with the civil aviation ministry, budget airlines IndiGo, SpiceJet, GoAir and AirAsia are set to significantly expand their respective fleet sizes.

Along with other carriers, the total number of aircraft to be inducted by the domestic players would be more than 900.

With an existing fleet of 150 planes, IndiGo is readying to add another 448 aircraft — 399 A320s and 49 ATRs — in the next seven to eight years.

Competitor SpiceJet too is in the process of expanding its current fleet of 57 aircraft. The no-frills airline would be adding 107 B737-800s and 50 Bombardier Q400s during the 2018-2023 period.

Another budget carrier GoAir, which is yet to take off on overseas routes, would induct 119 A320 planes during the period from 2018-2022. At present, its fleet size is 34.

According to the data, which was recently submitted to Parliament as part of a Lok Sabha written reply, AirAsia India would induct 60 planes in the next five years. Currently, the budget carrier has 14 aircraft.

Legacy carrier Jet Airways — which has 107 aircraft — would take 81 B737-8 MAX planes during 2018-2024 period. It would also add five B737-800s this fiscal ending March 2018, as per the data.

Disinvestment-bound Air India would induct three B777- 300ER and 16 A320 planes between December this year and March 2019. The national carrier has 155 aircraft at present.

Among others, full service carrier Vistara would induct five aircraft next year that would expand its current fleet of 17 planes.

TruJet, which now has four planes, would add six aircraft each year from 2018-2022. These would be ATR72-500/600, the ministry data showed.

After starting services this year, Zoom Air has placed orders for five CRJ-200 and 14 CRJ-900 planes. At present, it has two planes.

"AirAsia is always committed to expanding connectivity to Singapore and these direct flights reiterate our commitment to grow the connectivity in and out of the country," said Mr Spencer Lee, head of commercial at AirAsia.

"We hope the introduction of this new route will bring more visitors into Singapore next year, and this is only made possible by the continuous support rendered by Singapore’s Government and Sarawak Tourism Board."

The maiden flight, which departed Singapore at 9.10am and landed in Bintulu Airport at 11am, was received by officials including Bintulu Member of Parliament Tiong King Sing and Mr Lee Kim Shin, Sarawak's Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
