New president of KPJ was from airline industry. Does he know anything about healthcare.
No wonder the company going south.
I notice the pay of CEO is going up (around RM2mil) and board is getting bigger but share price on the downtrends for more than 5 yrs. except fo a short spike last year due to unfounded rumour.
Just compare KPJ board and IHH board.

KPJ ceo left after about a year - ?reason.
Former JCORP chairman charged with corruption. The replacement apparently died from cancer.

Only reason I am holding on is the fading hope of privatisation. Many probably doing the same.
Once this is no longer believable it will definitely dive below 1.00

The closing prices the last 2 days must be due to share buy back by KPJ or JCORP.This could be a prelude tp privatisation.Keep fingers crossed

Pandemics have a negative impct on KPJ earnings.
Just compare eps for 2019 and 2020.
Look at the whole picture not just a small segment of the business.

A substantial shareholders usually holds more than 5% of company shares.

DS Thong is treating INSAS as his private bank. All insas investors are depositors getting a dividend yield of about 2%.How much the bank is worth is irrelevant to the investers/depositors.
All depends on DS Thong. He controls the share price

Buying on rumour.Even if true 1.25 represents only a 10% premium and has to wait another 6 months. And may be rejected by minority shareholders. Provided a special dividend is declared to sweeten the deal.

I see M&A listing adding value to Insas, its NAV would increase. But little impact on share price.

If Jcorp is a bumiputera mandated company then the govt may not allowTPG to take a stake in KPJ
2021-08-11 11:38 | Report Abuse
JCorp doesnt need much fund. Its holdings probably 60 %. TPG can come out with the fund to buy up the minoritiy shareholders, roughly 40%
2021-08-10 20:19 | Report Abuse
JCorp had privatised a few of its companies ,like Kulim, Johorland, QSR.
Looks like it may be taking KPJ private as weii.Hopefully.

I know Omesti PB gives over 9% but there is a real risk of default.
With Insas this risk is very muckh lower
2021-07-09 18:43 | Report Abuse
Maybe its better to buy its PB. This gives over 6% at prrsent price - more than 3x FD and very safe.
Esp those with a lot of money sitting around

One simple way to stimulated interest and drive up the price is to give free warrants to shareholders.
Or do something like Insas- give rps and free warrants

You will not be stuck like before.
This is unconditional voluntary offer. You are sure of selling at 2.4
Selling at 2.41 is no better as the extra 1sen probably just enough to settle the extra transaction charges.

JCCL only needs to own 75% to delist. This is likely to be accomplished
To force to surrender JCCL needs 90%.This may be difficult.
As a shareholder, if you hang on to the shares with the company delisted your money would be tied down indefinitely.Since this is unconditional voluntary offer the decision is up to ourselves. To each his own. I would cash out at 2.4 or sell in open market if higher
2021-03-19 09:55 | Report Abuse
JCCL needs another 15million shares to reach 75%. Once it has 75% CCB can be delisted.Although the offer is unconditional, this is the aim of the exercise. So it is mopping up as much shares as possible. If there are few sellers at 2.40 in the open market it (JCCL) may buy at higher price, though offer price is the same.So it is advisable not to sell in the open market unless it is higher.

2021-02-19 08:24 | Report Abuse
KPJ could boost its share price and attract more interest by giving free warrants to its shareholders. Some companies do this every 5 yre. As it is KPJ is probably the cheapest hospital group in the region.

The lower the price of insas, the higher the PR price tomorrow
2021-01-31 15:34 | Report Abuse
The price of PR is basically the price of 2.5 warrants.
If you are prepared to buy the warrant at 10sen,then PR would be 25sen.At 5sen the warrant would be extremely cheap at 2sen.
So how much is the warrant worth? Thats the question
