Those who wanted to cont hold is ok as long as your entry price is as low as rm7 or below... the thing is this stock is too overly volatile and UNPREDICTABLE at all, why? Bcoz this qtr report beat ALL analysts prediction and analysis (let me know if u know 1 that analyze correctly). They thought they knew so well bout refinery biz but the fact is they dont... all facts are out there for u to see. Period.

this is why when the stock is too hot, it attracted all kind of ppl joined in the stock... lousy and low quality shareholders... when shit happened these are the ppl who run first

most of the shareholders here (I cant say all) are different from some of the HRC shareholders. I am not sure if you are one of the Petronm shareholders or not. If you are not, thank you for your concern and contribution on Petronm ya. I am a investor, not a trader, I am not sure about others, but personally for me the everyday ups and downs of Petronm share price is not really a concern for me.

@pjseow, from what I understand from the management, they want to go "both" way 100%, hence upgrading the refinery (178kbpd capacity) + expanding/build more petrol station (volume game)... imagine that....

I guess due to consistency earning (long term), predictable earning, strong consumer brand, consistent div payout... big fund big kaki love this.... if u have millions of money would you park your money at nestle or hengyuan?

Usually Petronm will only announce their div payout during their 4Q report.
Based on past record (2015/2016), Petronm have been consistently payout 25% of their annual EPS as the dividend. Currently for FY2017, as of now the EPS is already 73.9cents, so you might be somehow able to calculate roughly the dividend payout for FY2017.

As now Petronm have turn net cash with good FCF also, the question is how they want to use all this cash? To expand the business? To return it back to shareholders (also their parent own 73.4% share) by declaring special div? Or Bonus issue? Well, I do not know about this. You think.

as per AR2016, with parent holding 73.4% of share, plus other 30 shareholders holding 7.8%, the remaining share floating outside was only 18.8%...

For most IB, it is all about looking for stable, consistent, much less volatile and less risker companies. Too volatile companies might shoo them away. I think for sure IB know about HRC.
