They are performing... If you jus take a look at the past quarter... Huge comeback... And that was cpo price for 3 months ago. Given that cpo price has been rising, the current cpo price will reflect in the next quarter.

Where they learn their economics I wonder... Right now, there is scarcity amongst all the vegetable oil. If the price really so high amongst the cooking oil, why India decide to lower tax on palm? Why China decide to increase import on palm and reduce on soy? These are all cost effective countries.. Psht...

Other oil? Soy oil flying high right now... Soy bean hampered by drought in South America being the largest soy producer in the world. I'm sure everything will work itself out. Even at lower exports, price above 3k cpo is dam high.

Its not simply any time they can plant and harvest soybean there. It must be planted at year end in order to reap the harvest in the following year.

Windfall tax is an existing implementation.. Don't be too bothered by it... The tax is only up to 3%

amateurJR : Windfall tax is not that much on palm. It is only up to 3%, and it is not something that jumped out of thin air. When palm prices are 2500 and up in peninsular and 3000 and up in east malaysia, this is an automatic government tax.
