Malaysiakini : A rebuttal to Dr M's Proton-Geely accusations by the Minister of Trade and International Affairs. To the critics of Proton-Geely deal, he said enough is enough. Rm1.25 billions has been disbursed by the gov. Another 250 millions will be disbursed in one week time. Another Rm1.1 billions research fund will be disbursed to Proton once the Proton-Geely agreement is signed in July.

By all means. We are always positive on DRB base on its fundamental values. NTA = Rm3.14. Whoever buy DRB would wish it to fly.

Fl888: C26 has the advantage of low conversion ratio : 1.5 : 1. Once the mother share is higher than the conversion price of C26, DRB move up 1.5c then C26 worth 1c more. C32 has a high conversion ratio : 2.8 : 1. DRB move up 2.8c then C32 worth 1c more. Using the formula I calculated with DRB at 1.80, C26 worth 16.66c and C32 worth 12.5c only. When I saw DRB moving up a few months ago, I sold all my C32 at 7.5c and bought C26 at 9c. It turns out to be the right move. Started profit taking from 17c onwards. At one time C32 very active and C26 remained stagnant. There was one forum member complaining why C26 not moving while C32 moving up daily. Bcos DRB was still below 1.55 then.

Be alert - DRB-C28 will stop trading on 23-6-17. Will be delisted on 30-6-17. C28 has low execuse price of 1.05 and conversion ratio of 2.5 for 1. It is still worth 28c at DRB present price. The issuer-Macquarie Capital Securities will be ready to push DRB down near expiry date unless EPF overpower her.

Very smart play by the big players. Give chance for ppl to profit take and come again in second wave

Late comers or those who chase after Cs will lose money when the expiry date of Cs is drawing near. The Issuers employ special officers to monitor/ control the prices of Cs wrt mother shares. E.g. Macquarie Capital Securities just listed DRB C36 on 31/5/17 with a conversion price of 1.90 & conversion ratio of 2:1. The high conversion price is to their advantage. The maturity date is 29/12/17. When C36 is near expiry date, the issuer will try hard to block the share price of DRB at 1.90. If successful, the issuer dun have to pay the C36 holders any money. C24 is a good example of how the issuer block DRB at 1.60. At the beginning of listing no one own the Cs. The issuer can put 5000 at 16 and sell 5000 at 16.5. The average closing prices of Cs are also to the advatage of issuers. The average price of daily trading is not counted. Only the last done price is taken into account. That is why the closing price of DRB suddenly dropped by the issuer

Investors normally dun buy Cs. Cs are cheap and u can over 100k . High risk high gain for Cs holders. If after expiry Cs still at positive premium, you will loose all your money. Cs only good for bullish mother shares like DRB now

All Cs are not issued by DRB. After expiry Cs holders can receive cash from the issuers.CIMB issue C30 with exercise price at 1.10 and conversion ratio 2 for 1. Expiry date is 30/11/17. DRB at 1.77 C30 at 33c has premium -0.56%. -premium means you gain with C30 at 33c
