The pile of shares at rm9.55 were gobbled up. BAT stock price is no longer so cheap, anymore.

…seems like there is a big timer wallop some shares at around rm9.50 while I was still thinking about increasing my position in BAT. Guess I may have to pay more money at a higher stock price to hold about 100,000 shares eventually.

Sorry, I’ve to pick up an additional 20,000 shares at various prices above rm9.35 and caused a small spike up because of just a few sellers.

It’s widely known that ~85% of Berkshire Hathaway total investible funds are concentrated in 11 stocks and AAPL constitutes ~46%.
I’m just holding 2 US Nasdaq stocks for long term investments and 1 Bursa stock for trading speculation however will expand my stock portfolios to 7 when the opportunity arise.

While I’ve to admit I don't follow all the tenets of Value Investing because I do engaged in a little bit of extremely risky trading speculation up to 5% of my stock portfolio total funds just because I’m also an ardent advocator of technical analysis on stock price charts and patterns.

My dad had bought “The Intelligent Investor” hardcover book by Benjamin Graham for rm118.38 in year 2005 and I’ve inherited it from him after he’d passed away a couple years ago.
The original 1949 edition is “By far the best book on investing ever written.” as quoted by Warren E. Buffett and has acclaimed to be the classic text on value investing.

Most probably, the introduction of vape tax will be imposed.

This is not a stock to employ DCA strategy for sure.
Of course, I’ve never doubted your stance on BAT long term downtrend bias and -ve outlook overall or in general.

When BAT stock price fell below rm9.26, the decision to sell 13,000 shares of MBB + 1,000 shares of UTDPLT was easy to make.
Then, picked up 14,000 shares of BAT at rm9.24, yesterday and today.

Based on technical analysis of BAT stock price demise yesterday, rm8.63 has appeared as stronk support.
I’m surprised that there was virtually no bounce from rm9.26 touted by me as a stronk support previously.

Its stock price has crushed the death cross mark as indicated by Moving Average (200 & 50) since May 2023 and RSI remains deep rooted in oversold territory means that the BAT bears have massive balls to assert control over the lack of bulls, in this case.

Why did I just buy 3,000 shares of BAT at rm9.34 ?! It’s insanity!

Bought a few thousand shares of BAT at rm9.57.
Simply outrageous as common sense did not prevail in this instance.

When I’ve funds available to invest in Bursa’s stocks, 80% goes to MBB and 20% uneven split with a hot stock (UTDPLT) + a sexy speculative stock (BAT).
Just sold 50 shares of TSLA at usd278.40 and eager to burn some of it up in smoke with BAT.
An additional 60 shares of TSLA at usd283.40 is still outstanding in the sell queue.
Trying to load up on some dry powder for at least 3 “rainy” seasons.

You see the glass half full while there are others see it half empty while I don’t bother to see the glass at all so that I remain skeptical and also, objective about the final outcome.

Vuse popularity worldwide is in excess of 35%. BAT must be diligent and rise to the challenging occasion to get this product known or well received in Malaysia.

Why TSLA stock you might ask or wonder ?!
I know that TSLA didn’t fulfil the entire tenets of value investing however if Charlie Munger as the Vice Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway can “gung ho” into BYD stocks, so I believe that TSLA can be a viable choice because I’m convinced that it envisages to become an AI-powered autonomous robotics company.

A majority of my stock holdings are in AAPL (since 2016 when Warren Buffett made his initial foray into the tech sector) and TSLA stocks (just recently, Jan 2023 after Elon Musk has promised to defer selling his shares for about 2 years).
Sold 100 shares at usd273.40 of TSLA and bought 13,000 shares at rm9.12 of MBB one day before ex-date.
The above 3 stock holdings are my low to minimum risk category long term investment.

I shall be embroiled in trading speculation with UTDPLT & BAT stocks to mitigate unwarranted risks.
I won’t sell BAT 1,000 shares bought at rm9.68 (tiny unrealised loss) because my overall position is being mitigated or balanced by UTDPLT 1,000 shares bought at rm16.24 (tiny unrealised gain).

Who is in their right mind recommends DCA for BAT ? It’s financially suicidal for sure.

The fundamental analysis of BAT doesn’t look great at all or key financial ratios continue to shrink in the last 5 years.
I’ll continue to monitor its financial health for this year and the next. Perhaps, a miracle can happen.

The bulls are in full control now and as long as the money flow momentum is still high, the bears will be crushed while I’m crying in the sidelines because of no dry powder available.

Fell from the highest rm74.40 until now, the bottom is nowhere insight yet.

The immediate price support level is rm9.26 recorded just slightly more than 3 years ago.

There are 2 main methods to derive gains from technical analysis in stock trading.
I prefer Buy low Sell high rather than short-selling practices.

Invest in stock, expects to earn 11% from capital appreciation and dividend with moderate risk.
Under the low to minimal risk category, it’s advisable to stride for about 8.5% ROI.

I’ll definitely queue up to buy at rm9.48 (little bit) and rm9.28 (a little more).

rm9.55, rm9.36 and rm9.17 for reference as nasty stock price drop to get in little by little.

Nevermind, this stock can’t beat Tesla or NVidia in price performance rocket to the moon or Mars.

With the aid of my “Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques” book by Steve Nison 2nd ed, rm9.64 - rm9.65 appear as minor support.

MBB stock price performance is better than BAT in the last few days that I’ve checked.

I’ve just bought 1,000 shares at rm9.68 of BAT and will dollar cost average (DCA) with every nasty price dip.
Divested from BAT completely on Dec 22, 2022 with mediocre gains and was lucky to grab Tesla or TSLA stock on Jan 3, 2023 at a bargain price.

My amateurish technical analysis charting skill for BAT is showing stronk support at rm9.26.
I might consider to get a tiny position in BAT when its stock price is a steal just for the sake of not losing out.

I never knew that there is a stock that can replace BAT former glory years when its price was above rm25 until I take a look see of Utd Plt’s technical analysis price chart that was shared by you.
This stock is going to explode or takeoff in flight during its price discovery stage if can break rm17.
Utd Plt is a no-brainer stock to invest if can get it cheaper than rm16 or even, slightly higher.

Based on my charting understanding from “The Technical Analysis Course” 3rd edition book by McGraw Hill’s Meyers, there is an immediate resistance from rm9.15 to rm 9.18 if broken should propel its price to above rm10.
It’s probably or most likely to happen mid next year when the USA Fed could reduce its rates and then, stocks will become attractive again.

Of course, there are more Tesla shares to be sold in the future when its stock price hits or surpasses usd 400, 500-600, 700-800 and 1,000 may take many years to happen.
Yes, I’m optimistic about Tesla stock and I look forward to divest all its sales proceeds into MBB.

I’ve decided to invest in MBB today instead of BAT because the latter stock has been tarnished by government’s policy and illicit cig trades.
I will compare the stock performance of MBB and BAT diligently to ensure that my monies will get the best ROI under the category of low or minimal risk.
Tesla (listed in USA Nasdaq) is my #1 and only stock for long term investment under epic high growth risk category.

Sold Tesla 100 shares at usd273.40 yesterday and using its sales proceeds to try my luck with MBB 13,000 shares at rm9.12 today. Hope for reasonable or decent ROI knowing that capital appreciation is not MBB forte. I would be pleased with above 6% dividends and 2% to 3% stock price gains annually.
