Chasing high priced stocks and ignoring intensely undervalued stocks like Genting. Sounds crazy, right??

@keyman sifu, we can’t expect to get it right every time in the stock market. My main investment is U96. I bought it during the covid-19 pandemic when its price dropped to 1.10 after it demerged from its subsidiary,..Sembmarine. Following the advice to diversify, I also invested in Bursa. The rest of my story you know. Just like many investors here holding on to YTL, I am holding on to U96, hoping to see a higher share price. Despite the high prices, many are still chasing.

I am considering PublicBank, but its P/B is rather high

Really, really a painful investment journey for me during that period of time.

In my personal experience from 2009 to 2012, those STI blue chips that had a good run up of 100-200% all fell back to their lows one by one during that period. I was one of the students holding on to them. Everything went back to square one when the tide turned. Your money you decide 😏

Market downturns can create uncertainty and volatility, making it harder to predict IPO performance. So, it is better for Genting to do an IPO now in the US. Are you ready, Genting?

But then, companies can achieve higher valuations during a market boom, as investors are more willing to pay a premium for growth potential.. therefore, it is better to do an IPO during a market up cycle.

Genting Group is seeking opportunities to be listed in the US. Betul, listing in the US can unlock shareholder value and enhance the value of the group.

But with ang moh Jones index at a record level, is now a good time to pursue an IPO, considering the current situation in the US??

Of course, I knew about Malaysia's banking stocks.. I bought CIMB at the start of Covid-19 in 2020 and sold it off around 5.40. Then I bought more Genting shares. That is my investment story on Bursa in the past few years.

Understood. Choosing between them is tough. Regarding the 3rd choice, I can't advise because I am not familiar with Bursa stocks. I knew GenB and GenM because of Genting Singapore. 😀

There's no correlation between the share price of Genting Singapore and Genting Berhad la.. they don't move in tandem or influence each other significantly
