KUALA LUMPUR (April 12): Dahonghua Petroleum (HIBISCS, 5199, Main Board Energy Group) slammed the latter on the Oslo Mediation Committee for a reorganization of the Norwegian Lime oil, claiming at least $35 million (about 136 million) Ringgit).
The company issued a statement stating that the wholly-owned subsidiary, Gulf Red Flower Co., Ltd. (GHL) filed a complaint with the Oslo Mediation Committee to claim at least $35 million from the financial losses suffered by the restructuring of the Norwegian Lime oil. RM136 million).
It is reported that GHL filed a complaint with the Oslo District Court on Thursday (11th) to claim compensation from Lime Oil and three current directors for the financial losses suffered by the restructuring of the Norwegian Lime oil.
Dahonghua Petroleum pointed out that the company and its subsidiaries retain all powers of investigation and make further announcements in due course.
Dahonghua Petroleum acquired a 35% stake in Lime Petroleum through GHL for $55 million in 2012, but Lime Petroleum held a restructuring plan for Norwegian Lime Oil, including the cancellation of 900,000 held by Rex International Investment Pte Ltd. Shares, which in turn retreated 75% Norwegian kroner (about RM36 million) to Rex International Selective Capital, made Dahlia Oil think "Rex has an unreasonable benefit."
By canceling the face value of the stock, the Norwegian Lime oil share was reduced from 251.12 million krona to 2.92 million krona, while the Norwegian Lime oil subsequently sold at 7 kr. per share to sell 77.4 million new shares to Rex International, while Rex International passed the capital. Roll back the proceeds.
After the completion of the entire plan, Dahonghua Petroleum believes that Rex International can subscribe for an additional 70.3% stake in Norwegian Lime Oil without “one point and one thousand”, and the shareholding will increase from 26.2% to 96.5%. The shareholding of Norwegian Lime Petroleum held by Lime Petroleum has dropped from the original 73.82% to 3.51%.

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 10): AllianceDBS Research has a “ Buy” rating on Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd at RM1.30 with a higher target price of RM1.75 (from RM1.46) and said it believes Hibiscus’ earnings will be significantly stronger in FY19, supported by the completion of enhancement works on the Anasuria Cluster, the inclusion of North Sabah EOR PSC, and strong Brent crude oil price.
In a note Oct 10, the research house said it forecasts a FD core EPS CAGR of 141% over FY18-21F.
“Hibiscus also announced that it had proposed to acquire a 50% interest in the North Sea Blocks which has discovered but undeveloped oilfields for US$37.5 million (RM155.5 million).
“The SPA is expected to be completed by 16 Oct 2018 and Hibiscus will assume the role of asset operator. We have not included the proposed North Sea Blocks in our forecast pending its Final Investment Decision (FID),” it said.
The research house said it is optimistic on the direction of oil prices, and our average Brent crude oil price forecast for CY18 stands at US$75/bbl.
“We assume an average Brent oil price of USD78/bbl in FY19/FY20 and thereafter will gradually decline to our long term price assumption of USD65/bbl.
“Any further upside to Brent crude oil price will positively correlate directly to Hibiscus’ bottom-line as it is a pure exploration and production company,” it said.
