@Jolly, SMIC orders may regard as main potential for the future growth of KGB in UHP-related job which is the main revenue KGB derives from. SMIC may not get the UHP-related services from US, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan co...etc because these countries try to block China microchips development. That is why Kgb may get substantial works from SMIC..Though SMIC may contract the works to local China firm but Kgb has competitive advantages and vast experience in this field.

Quote:
"...Order-book hits new high, again. SMIC is showing no signs of slowing down and indicated more UHP-related job awards as current utilisation is filled to the brim. As a result, KGB’s order-book has hit a new high of RM370m as at 30 Sep, thanks to strong replenishment of RM142m new orders from SMIC, Micron and Lam Research. The group expects order- book level to remain elevated even after factoring in a better 4Q. KGB is currently tendering for RM900m worth of jobs, spread equally across Malaysia, Singapore and China. Being regarded as a preferred vendor among large MNCs, the group is in a favourable position to benefit from various on-going expansions by WD Penang (announced RM2.3b investment), Micron SG (new fab construction), along with Lam Research, Bosch, and B Braun."

This continued growth now means that 10% of BAT's revenues come from non-combustible categories. The company's Vuse/Vype brand is the leader in key markets around the world, as can be seen below, and is a great indicator of future growth.

The only positive about this co is the mgt tries very hard to make money. This can be verified from the increase in turnover to manufacture low profit product (mouse production) to mitigate the loss in the revenue from the sales of tws Bluetooth.
In my opinion, the success of this co depends on its innovation in its tws Bluetooth technology. You may have an extreme case..either you may loss your underwear or earn handsome return..

Review of performance
(i) Revenue
The Group’s revenue for the current quarter jumped 73.7% to approximately RM56.1 million
compared to approximately RM32.3 million for the corresponding quarter in 2019. Computer
peripherals contributed 67.0% to the revenue while Bluetooth headsets contributed 27% with the
balance 6.0% contributed by in-house brand FOBO and other non-Bluetooth products such as
plastic parts for light guides, fingerprint readers and camera sub-parts.
(ii) Profit/(Loss) Before Taxation (“PBT”/ “ (LBT)”)
The Group posted LBT of approximately RM4.9 million for the current quarter under review
compared to LBT of approximately RM3.2 million in the corresponding quarter last year, an
increase in loss of RM1.7 million. The loss was mainly attributed to change in sales mix with
higher revenue from lower margin products.
For the current quarter, the Group had incurred approximately RM0.9 million on products that are
in various stages of product development compared to approximately RM0.2 million for the
corresponding quarter last year. Meanwhile, a total of RM0.1 million was spent to comply with
standard operating procedures (“SOP”) guidelines from Ministry of Health (“MOH”) and National
Security Council (“NSC”) to contain the Covid-19 outbreak. Th
Prospects
The current Covid-19 situation has created an unprecedented challenge for businesses globally.
The Group will continue to monitor closely the situation and mitigate its impact to business
operations. Operational efficiency and effectiveness are key areas which the Group emphasises to
improve its financial performance.
At the same time, the Group will strive to strengthen its core competencies in its product
development roadmap while taking proactive steps to plan with appropriate financial mitigation to
improve the Group’s financial resilience. However, the Board expects that the overall prospect for
the Group to be challenging arising from the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the global economy.

B3. COMMENTARY ON PROSPECTS AND TARGETS, STRATEGIES AND RISKS
APM is principally involved in the design, manufacturing, assembly and production of automotive and
mobility components. APM’s main operation is located in Malaysia but it is also present in various other
jurisdictions, including United States of America, Netherlands, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam and the
Republic of Indonesia.
The Group’s overall performance in the fourth quarter of 2020 is expected to be challenging and may
even experience a decline, particularly in view of Bank Negara’s revision of Malaysia’s gross domestic
product (GDP) growth forecast for 2020 to between -3.5% and -5.5% from -2% and 0.5%, due mainly to
changes in world growth forecasts and the unprecedented length of the MCO, CMCO and RMCO.
The Group’s forecast is further compounded by the present political uncertainties locally and abroad
(especially that of the United States of America) and the expected disruption to the Group’s operations in
light of the anticipated the second and possibly the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic

B3. COMMENTARY ON PROSPECTS AND TARGETS, STRATEGIES AND RISKS (CONT’D)
Nonetheless, the Group will remain vigilant and continue with its austerity measures which include, interalia deferring capital expenditure, maintaining salary reduction, hiring freeze, cost rationalization and
participating in the Government’s Prihatin program to conserve cash flows.
The Group will also continue its focus on long-term plans and strategies for business sustainability and
continue to strive for greater success expeditiously through mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships,
joint-ventures and alliances.
All in all, the Group remains cautiously optimistic in view of the progress shown towards development of
the COVID-19 vaccine but do not foresee pre-pandemic performance revival to occur in the short term.
