Saudi Arabia and Russia, the world’s two largest crude producers, agreed to freeze output after talks in Qatar.

Eco World Intl plans to submit IPO draft before end-Feb
KUALA LUMPUR: Eco World International (EWI) plans to submit a draft document to the Securities Commission for its proposed IPO of US$500mil before end-Feb.

Bloomberg had on Friday quoted a report by IFR about the property developer’s plan.
StarBiz had reported in December 2015 that EWI, which focuses on projects outside Malaysia, has set a target to raise RM2bil in its IPO.

President and chief executive officer Datuk Teow Leong Seng was quoted saying then that EWI was in the process of submitting its IPO application to the SC, which it hopes can be finalised in the first half of 2016.

The company, which will see Eco World Development Group Bhd taking up a 30% stake upon the listing, will use the proceeds mainly on its ongoing projects in London and Australia.

The public will hold a significant portion of the remaining 70% stake.

EWI is a special-purpose vehicle set up by the Eco World group in 2013 to acquire real estate assets overseas for development.

Closed at 1.330, more upside to come.
